We don’t eat often at five guys. Tonight I was reminded why. Nothing to do with the staff. They were great. But let’s be honest. We come to eat. We got our order to go as we got in late but stayed at the hotel right around the corner. I don’t mind a burger that isn’t perfect. Sometimes the “filling”falls out. No problem. But when the bread is beyond soggy(almost uncooked) and filled with topping I did not order, come on. Nice people. But quality sucked.

The staff and atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, making my short visit a very pleasant one. This location is the best Five Guys & Fries in Houston, this is the only location I consistently give my business. Tonight is a prime example: the young man who manages the location most of the time I come these days. He has some of the best work ethic and customer service I’ve seen in a long while. The food is consistent, hot and delicious and comes out lightning fast! The dining room, self-serve and bathrooms were also spotless. As I was walking in to get my online order a family of 17 walked in at 8:53pm mind you, he didn’t bat an eye and I still didn’t have to wait for my order, that’s talent and leadership!
As an Operations Manager mostly in the food service industry this gentleman sets the bar, and if I could I’d take him to work with me, but poaching is looked down upon. GIVE HIM A RAISE!
As for the menu: it’s standard Americana fare done right, the portions are filling and the ingredients are top tier. For a hamburger, fries, and drink/milkshake there is no place that does it better.
If you’re in the med center come give them your business!
