Went today, had a la carte chicken tenders(2) small side of slaw,diet soda$10. Chicken was great. Service pleasant and prompt. Very casual atmosphere. I'd definitely go back to eat here.
Chicken is fried fresh right after you order it so it's piping hot when it comes out. You will be starving and it'll be too hot. I had two piece dark with fried okra and baked beans. Two Jalapeño peppers. The chicken was really juicy. Fried okra was fried too damn hard. Baked beans were good. Coke was strong and potent. I would definitely eat here again. Maybe next month lol. I had pecan pie to go lol

We were at the Japanese Gardens in Herman Park area of Houston enjoying the weather and scenery. I decided to look for food and remembered that Gus's opened in Houston awhile ago and haven't tried it since they came to Texas.
