Is the atmosphere depressing? YES! It’s an airport. Make no mistake though that the service and the food were both amazing. My fiancé and I were exhausted trying to find something to eat in that airport that even looked somewhat appetizing… we didn’t have high hopes when we walked in but it took us both by surprise and I saw this place had 2 stars and that’s not accurate! This is a 4 star joint….. if you’re in that airport you need to go to the GASTROPUB don’t even look at anything else!
An abomination. I’m reluctant to review places, especially those at airports, but this is truly a terrible place. Got the $26 chicken Cesar salad that consisted of brown, wet, sloppy chicken lathered on my lettuce, with the chicken juices poured over top. No dressing to speak of. Head to velvet taco down the terminal and avoid this place at all costs (unless you want chicken nuggies because those were solid).

We stopped in for a final vacation drink while waiting for our flight. The service was ok but when the check came the drinks we ordered (off the menu with no modifications) were almost 40% more than menu price and was listed on the receipt as "retail" instead of liquor. When we pointed out the error we were told that " the prices changed and there was nothing that they could do". The manager eventually discounted the food but the whole thing felt super shady.

I had to fly out of Houston for work, and I stopped into GastroHub in the terminal for dinner before heading back home to Tampa! There was no wait to be seated, and my waitress was over to help me and take my drink order immediately. I ordered the chicken california with French fries, water, and coke. The airport was somewhat busy, and the food came out fresh.

Traveling to see our daughter and stopped in for a drink and meal. The service was great by Lauren and Lisa and the food and drinks were good. One of the best stops in an airport we’ve had!

I miss the Pappas restaurants at Hobby. The service at Gastrohub is apathetic at best. The food was okay by airport standards.
Probably the worst airport food I've had. Super expensive and bland at best. Service was relatively quick but inattentive. Ambiance was standard loud crappy airport sit down Wish we went to the food court

I wonder if we'll ever have breakfast here again.I stopped by on a flight from Houston to El Paso.I ordered the Texas style breakfast. Local food is the most interesting thing for travelers.Yeah. It was a good American breakfast. The fries were exceptionally good.I wish it had a bit more of a Texas feel to it. Smoky or Texas BBQ flavor.

I was charged twice/double on Wednesday 2/28/2024. When I try to call and talk to someone about this, I hear, “the # you have dialed has been disconnected…” The service was terrible on top of already astronomical prices BEFORE the server ran my card TWICE. This place is running a scam and has everything in place to do so. You have been warned.

Jackie D and Chris are the best !!!! Quick easy spot to get a seat - massive bar. Not sure if this is pet friendly or not but my baby girl sat with us at the bar. Great staff, service and a shit ton of tvs.
