The bartender’s attitude was not good. He treated me differently and made me feel like he thought I had no money. Service should be respectful to all customers. Very disappointing experience.”

A bar located in the Dun Huang Plaza. It's near the parking garage. We came here on New Years Eve so it was quite festive. The place is a decent size. Modern with booths, tables, and a private seating area for larger crowd.

You can take any available tables you like and a waiter should come by to serve you. Music is a bit loud at this place. Maybe if they just turn down the music a little would be good. We ordered drinks and the calamari. The strawberry mojito had fresh strawberry that was pretty okay. The calamari was alright but the flour wasn't fried fully. Some tasted a little soggy like it was uncooked.

Beware of drunkies. Maybe because it was New Years Eve but there were a few drunk girls in the restroom talking to themselves. Quite a sight. I would just avoid them. Overall, I would come back and try some of the other drinks. It does seem like a good atmosphere for a night out with friends.

Love this place. It’s welcoming and feels like friends inviting you over to there house. Me and my gf sat at the bar and the way John was presenting himself made sure he enjoys doing it. To making sure we were taken care of to even asking about our day.

Stop by the next time you’re in Chinatown!

Awesome food and drinks
The Vietnamese sandwich is like other..delicious. Great fish ceviche. I love the stir-fried noodles with steak. What out on with the soy sauce with gosh pepper 🌶 if you aren't into spicy.
They carry the best Rum in the world.. Zacapa XO.

had such a great experience with the bartender John. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure my drink was always perfect. Not only were the cocktails made with care, but he also went above and beyond to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere. You can tell he truly enjoy what he does, and it makes the whole experience that much better. Definitely one of the best bartenders I’ve had—can’t wait to come back!

More of a bar than a bites place. The food pieces are very cheap and they do have a pretty big menu but the food took forever to come out and the sandwich was cold by the time it came to my table

The drinks were good and they do have daily specials.

Great place for large groups!

Still Worth the Visit, But Missing Some Magic
This used to be one of my favorite late-night spots for unique Vietnamese small bites. They offer dishes you can’t find elsewhere, and I still go back once in a while to chase those bold, nostalgic flavors.

On my most recent visit, though, the experience was a bit disappointing.

The coconut snails, once a highlight, didn’t hit the mark this time. Many were difficult to suck out, and a few were completely empty — definitely not as satisfying as before.

The mini fried eggrolls, however, remain as amazing as ever. Crispy, flavorful, and perfect when wrapped in fresh lettuce and dipped in their signature fish sauce. Every bite is a crunchy delight.

We also ordered the mango salad with beef tender, but the meat was tough and hard to chew. We ended up finishing the salad and leaving the beef behind — not ideal.

The salt-toasted squid is always a must-have. It was flavorful and well-seasoned, though I wish it had a little more crispiness on the outside for that perfect texture.

The pork belly taco is absolutely a standout dish. It’s juicy, flavorful, and just the right kind of indulgent. You can wrap small portions or just take a massive bite — either way, it’s a winner.

Lastly, the Vietnamese pancake had a nice crispy texture (not chewy!), and the pork belly inside was juicy and well-seasoned. It’s a fun, DIY-style dish that’s satisfying in every bite.

Overall, this visit didn’t fully live up to my past experiences — a few dishes needed more attention to detail and quality control. That said, it’s still worth the visit, especially for some of their staple items. I hope to see a return to that top-tier consistency they’re known for.

Slow to attend wait staff .. food is good. Bar could be better stocked .. the bartender didn't know nor did staff.. what sambuca, galliano, or any apperatives were .. never heard of them so ended up with vodka with my dinner while waitresses had to be hauled for drinks. Could be a great place

The food & drinks there always meet my expectations with flavorful Vietnamese dishes, and good cocktails. Music might be too loud for conversation. This time we didn’t have to wait for table, but it took the waitress a long time to take our order. Most of the time we come for the food & drinks, service is just okay

One of my go to spots on bellaire at night. I like the DJ there, top hits and Hip Hop vibes. Hidden Crawfish spot and great oysters!
