Food was below average. Pizza was soggy and very expensive for 17$ be careful yelp shows $28 per pie! We showed up 10 minutes later per the pickup time and it took an additional 10. They then had two of our 4 items not correct cause they were out! Very disappoint experience all around . Will not be going

Gold tooth Tony's is probably the best pizza in Houston. The establishment ain't much for looking at. And you're gonna want to place your order before you go in there for sure. But the pizza is immaculate.

Wow! Ordered the Marg and it was fantastic. The basil and tomatoes were fresh, bringing a great bright flavor to the delicious crust. The ends of the crust were crispy and well-seasoned. After a few slices I thought it would be nice to add some marinara so I ordered a side of marinara, which was only a dollar. Worked great as it added a whole new depth of flavor to the pizza without being overbearing. I was surprised with how much sauce they gave for just a dollar. I also got one of the oreo tres leches cakes from the fridge and very much enjoyed it. It was just sweet enough and not at all heavy. The light whipped cream on top was perfect with the Oreo cake. I do wish there was more tres leches milk mix on the bottom but that's a very personal preference. The guy at the front named Zuri had great energy too, he helped me decide on the Marg as a good veg option. Overall very good, I haven't had good Detroit style in forever so this place is for sure a hit.Vegetarian options: There's the Cheese, Marg, the heights (pesto), the weirdo (pineapple), and the compote pizzas (I think dessert pizza since it has cherry jam, goat cheese and pecans - sounds interesting). There's a "capricious" sandwich, which is which has tomato, goats milk feta, arugula, sweet pepper oil and garlic basil spread. There's also garlic bread, dough knots, and brussel sprouts sides.

Met some work friends for lunch. I wanted to get the meatball sub, but they didn't have meatballs that day. So might be worth calling ahead if you're dead set on a sub. We each tried a different pie so we could mix and match. I've never had Detroit style before so it was different but I liked it. To me it's more like focaccia bread with sauce, cheese, and toppings. The bread is light and fluffy and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Yet I didn't feel overly full and nothing was too rich. Good balance of flavors and bread. We ordered the Piggy, Outy5, pepperoni, and the Griz. Each was good in its own right but Piggy was probably my favorite. Very small inside seating area, so be prepared to sit outside or take it away if it's busy.

As a Detroit native, growing up eating Buddy's, Cloverleaf, and other Detroit pizza staples, I can say this place is the real deal. The crust has that perfect balance of focaccia-like texture, but with less rise, resulting in a dense, chewy base with crispy cheese crust. Amazing ingredients and some of the best sauce I have ever tasted on a pizza make this one of the best pizzas we have ever had. Can't say enough good about it!!!Dietary restrictions: Tony was super knowledgeable about his ingredients and able to work with my wife's challenging food allergies. He took it serious and was super accommodating, I can't ask for anything more!
