Great American Cookies

Every year, our executive team dresses up as holiday characters (elves, Santa, Rudolph, etc.) and we drive to all 20 of our locations in one day to deliver treats to the teams. This year we chose cookie cakes. I ordered 24 cookie cakes from this location. I asked they be decorated exactly as shown on the website and chose a pickup time and date. On the day of pickup, 12/16/2024, I called the shop and asked if they would be ready sooner as I now had an afternoon commitment on my schedule. To my delight, the very sweet lady I spoke to told me I could pick them up two hours earlier than planned as they were nearly ready. When I arrived and they showed me the cookie cake, they were absolutely beautiful! Decorated exactly as I had requested and uniformly completed. I was delighted with this. A young lady at the shop assisted me in loading them to my vehicle and helped me to secure them. Both of these ladies were welcoming, kind and cheerful. The service and craftmanship were perfect. Everyone loved the cookie cakes and said they were delicious! I will definitely choose this shop for future cookie orders and events.

Kid-friendliness: This place looks very welcoming for children. They would love the massive cookie displays.

Extremely overpriced especially for the quality you’re getting, thin waffles, small portions, they charge you for anything small and extra, and the ice cream isn’t even good, I got strawberry and it tasted like plain cream with a hint of strawberry, you’re much better going down the street to baskin robins.

I stopped by here 6/13/24 after work with my son. We were greeted by a very friendly young man. He was very helpful and had a great attitude. It’s so hard to go to an establishment now and days and receive genuine good service. Tried to leave him a tip on my card but it didn’t allow. Shout out t you. Keep up the great work!

The new manager doesn’t know what she’s doing, I got two ice creams and gave them my reward number plus I showed them an email of $2.00 off I got Sunday. She said she couldn’t give it to me because it wasn’t showing. it’s an email from the app how come? but she refuse to give me the discount. When I was going to pay she kept messing up and grab my card of my hand which was rude because she didn’t even ask and also had the nerve to say maybe you don’t have money on the card… I told her I had $25 dollars (my total was $19). It’s not like I would go buy something without money.
Really poor customer service. I would rather drive all the way to the one on highway 6, they always get my discounts right.

The prices are absolutely insane. I love their cookie cakes and M&M cookies, but I couldn't justify paying almost $50 for a birthday cookie cake. It's a shame because the food is still decent quality, but the slow service and the high prices are probably going to keep me from visiting again.

Overpriced extremely rude staff. for $28 for A dozen chocolate chip cookies Is extremely high But don’t mind paying for quality but when you add in obnoxious and rude staff, it’s a no go… you don’t need or deserve my business.

Dishonest employee be careful make sure to look at your receipt prices will change at the register over charging … just warning it’s matter of principles you ring it in what the actual price you quoted. That’s all. You lost my business forever.

The 2 people who serve give bad attention and do not decorate their cakes, why is it only the manager who does it and he has already left and they don't do it, so if you want to go to other stores.

I got half a dozen… 5/6 were correct… snickerdoodle was out, so I asked for one… I’m taking the cookie out the bag and immediately can smell peanut butter. I don’t like peanut butter cookies? y’all done raised to prices a bit too much to be getting it wrong…

Stopped in to pickup a large Birthday cookie. It was ready on time and tasted so good. Everyone at the party enjoyed it. So convenient to order on phone and just pick it up, then serve.

Great cookies

The worst experience I have ever encountered with Great American Cookies or any establishment. I ordered a special occasion cookie cake for my son’s birthday. It was the Break A Leg cookie cake because of his upcoming play. I asked for wording to be changed to happy 17th birthday Christian and black and white icing in place of the brown and white. I shared my reasonings as well. An hour before pick up February 5th, I received a phone call asking what I wanted. I explained again. I went to pick up cookie, and it only had happy 17th birthday Christian in black and white with black and white border. The lady told me I said no decorations and that’s what I asked for. I explained why would ask for a special occasion cookie instead of a regular birthday cookie cake if I didn’t want decorations. Needless to say she kept arguing so I said it must have been a misunderstanding but I can’t get it sorry. As I was leaving she yelled your fault. I turned around and she said your mistake. I said I’m politely walking away and you yell my fault my mistake.That’s rude and really bad customer service. I left and called back to speak to the manager. She answered and gave me a fake number. Few minutes later she called, asks if I spoke to her manager. I told her it was the wrong number. She apologizes and tells me she can fix the cookie. She tells me to come pick it up. I picked it up because I was desperate for the cookie cake because it went his birthday theme. I don’t understand the rudeness or why she couldn’t fix the cake at first.

Yes my name is Dedrick Johnson,and i placed a order on January 14th to be picked up on January 15th at 3:30pm ,and i get to the location and they tell me they forgot to make the cookie,and still wanted me to wait 15 to try to make the cake even tho they told me they cake person wasnt there to decorate it and still wanted to charge me full price...And they showed me the paperwork with all the information written down,so i cant understand how you forget to make a customer order...This is unacceptable customer service..This is at the location at 10100 Westheimer Rd suite 1050 in Houston Tx.
