As of 15 NOV 2025, this restaurant has closed! We were visiting from Austin and were totally surprised to find out in person. We called with no answer, we arrived to the doors being covered and locked, with no cars in the parking lot.
I do not understand why a restaurant that's clearly shut down would still allow and accept online reservations. So absurd. Me any my family drove 10hrs to Houston in celebration of my daughter's 18th bday, show up before our reservation time and to our surprise, the place was closed. Doors locked and not one vehicle in the parking lot, but lights were still on. So unprofessional. Do better James Harden. At least update the restaurant site to reflect it being closed.
The atmosphere was lovely, but CJ's exceptional service truly made the afternoon special. I highly recommend requesting CJ if you visit! Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.
We came early for our reservation got seated it was people there way before us that still haven't got their food we waited as long as we could 2 hours went by and the fire alarm went off so at the point we was over waiting on our food. I would love to try it again the next time I visit Houston.
We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and we'll definitely be back. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious.
I was celebrating my surprise 50th Bday Brunch! Everything was fantastic! CJ was our waiter & he was on point!!! Kept us informed & timely with our needs...running 2 tables!!!! Thank you CJ for making my afternoon/evening memorable!
I had a good time at Thirteen by James Harden for my 18th birthday. 0ur server, CJ, was great. From the moment we sat down, CJ was friendly, attentive, made us feel welcome, and checked in just the right amount of times without being intrusive. The service was fast, the vibe was great, and CJ's friendly and polite conversation was a good touch to the Thirteen experience.
This was a surprise bday trip for my husband who is a big James Harden fan. We flew in from California and this was our first dinner stop! We were running late and the hostess was so gracious and kind, to call me just to make sure we were still coming! I really appreciated that because from airport to hotel to restaurant time went faster than expected. Food was amazing we ordered the Sea bass, with a sweet potato puree and arugula salad. It all flowed together it was delicious. My drink was good as well. Strong enough to where I only ordered one. Our waiter was kind, personable, and attentive. Thank you Thirteen for making our night 1 in H town special!!
My fiancée and I went for brunch on a Sunday (1pm). We seemed to have beaten the “rush” as it was fairly empty but the vibe was nice (enjoyed the old school playing over the speakers in the restaurant side) The food was great! I had the catfish and grits (I would have liked the catfish to be fried hard but it was still delicious). My fiancée had the chicken and waffles and she loved it! The chicken was seasoned and fried well. The service was the only thing truly lacking. The server seemed to be working the entire floor alone and as more folks began to come in the less attentive they were. So much so that we didn't get our drink orders until well after our food had come from the kitchen. If they clean up the service standards this place would get 5 stars!
Even though we had an appointment, we still had to wait about 10 minutes for the table to be "cleaned off". The waitress was great. She explained details about the restaurant setup, most ordered items on the dinner menu & the drink menu. The crab spinach dip is a good starter. The seafood fried rice is good and the brussel sprouts are amazing. The vibe is loud, so it could be hard to hear if you're with a big party trying to have a conversation. There is hookah on the weekends in the restaurant, which is different, but not a bother. Overall, it's a good experience.

I had a nice birthday experience. Waiter was nice, I got my picture taken and it came out really beautiful. I got a complimentary birthday dessert. We also got a hookah which was nice.
I recently dined at Thirteen and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, with stylish décor and soft lighting that creates a welcoming vibe. The service was excellent, our server was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations. As for the food, every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I tried the Salmon with Crab fried rice and it was cooked to perfection, OMG it was delicious. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and overall dining experience make it worth it. Highly recommend Thirteen for a special night out or any time you want to treat yourself to a fantastic meal!
Ari was our waitress and she was amazing . It was my birthday and I ordered the ribs because I thought they would be traditional and well they weren't, she took the dish back with no problems. I give her ten stars, she was also friendly and professional!!
The vibe in Thirteen is unmatched. It feels sexy inside and has a great aesthetic. We had the Cajun pasta, 8 oz filet, truffle fries, and thirteen pineapple Thai wings. As well as for drinks: Turks& Caicos and the thirteen. Everything was delicious and the drinks are strong they definitely don't under pour!
10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and can also catch a vibe after if you want.
