Gus’s chicken is consistently some of the best chicken out there. The skin is crisped to perfection, the seasoning blend is strong but not overpowering, and the meat is always juicy.

The other Gus location sucks so i wanted to see if this one was any better. Service is way better over here on Kirby and I will come back to this one. The only thing is the bone in chicken isn’t as good as the tenders. Not sure why they don’t season the chicken before frying. It’s juicy, hot and fresh but no flavor. The breading also is flavorless but the tenders have seasoning. Maybe that was the sauce doing all the heavy lifting when I first ate at Gus. Fries didn’t...

I like how the chicken is fried...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside without being breaded, but almost $18 before tax for a 3 piece chicken meal is a bit ridiculous LOL! I say this after thinking how times I've paid it before putting 2 and 2 together. I think I just end up getting the meal, even though I just want a couple of pieces of chicken a la carte because one chicken leg is $4 before tax. Especially when you can go to el pollo loco and get sides, tortillas...
