Amazing service, and even better food! The noodles are a huge stand out - juicy, bouncy, perfect texture and flavor. This was one of those meals that just puts a smile on your face!

This was on my to-try list and it did not disappoint. Came in with some friends during lunch on a Tuesday and it was slow and quiet. The restaurant is spacious and bright inside. The waitstaff mainly speaks Chinese, but there are tablets you can order from on the tables. I got the beef brisket tomato noodle soup which was really good. The brisket was soft and super flavorful and the soup was tomato-y but did not taste like V8. I added in some of the chili oil and sambal that is provided at the tables and they enhanced the flavor of the soup even more. The bowl is also super large with lots of noodles and vegetables inside, so it was super filling (might even be shareable if you have a small appetite). I tried some of my friend's fish (same soup) and it was super tender and incredibly flavorful--I liked it more than the beef that I had gotten. We also got the brown sugar rice cake which was okay. It was crispy on the outside, but not that chewy. And there was a brown sugar filling on the inside which was super liquid-y and came out hot. The filling did taste a tad medicinal which I did not dislike, but did not like either. Overall, a great experience, will be returning!

Noodles are tasty. I like the dry noodle and add chicken. They don't normally have tables for larger than party of 6 unless they put some tables together. Just fyi.

Crispy fish skin was fresh and good. They had the right crisp to every single bite. Soup was well balanced!!glad It wasn't salty and it had just the right taste to it. Perfect for my palate! Loved that they were generous with vegetables and meat. Friendly service! Would definitely come here again on my next visit.

The soup was amazing, and the noodle was a highlight. The staffs were fast and friendly. The restaurant was nice and had plenty of seats. The price was around $11-$14, which was affordable. I highly recommend it.

This is a relatively new(ish) rice noodle shop in Bellaire that specializes in variations of Chinese rice noodles with the same beef stock soup base and different add-ons of protein and veggies. I've tried the fatty beef brisket noodle as well as the chicken with mushrooms noodle soup. Soup base is lacking in flavor to be honest but the ingredients are fresh. The most tasty item I've tried here is the mouth-watering chicken 口水鸡。They really know how to activate your salivary glands with this appetizer. The chicken tastes sooo yummy because it's lightly fried first then soaked in hot chili oil and hot pepper powder. Tastes like the ones I've had in China. The cashier's push you to try their hot tea with monk fruit. It's not free just fyi.

We went to this place for my daughter's birthday because of the raves of reviews on Google. Well we were fooled. The first sign of not so true was there were barely any people in the restaurant. The 2nd sign was when the food was ready, we were asked to give them a 5 star review in exchange for something (didn't catch the details). We were very disappointed with this trip. Food was ok but nothing special, not too much flavors. The soup was so so. The dry stir noodle with everything was very bland. We could try one of many other restaurants during our stay in Houston.

To be honest, the food is not that special, only the chicken noodle tastes good. And I like the tea. The popcorn chicken is not great. If I go back here I will only order the noodle. Nothing else. The spicy pickle fish noodles is terrible. I wish the restaurant good luck to open longer time.

Very nice little restaurant. The shop is very clean with a nice design and the service was great. Had the Sauerkraut Fish and it was really comforting with very good flavor. I'm looking forward to trying more things on their menu!

We had a chance to try JBC a few weeks back and enjoyed the lunch there! The ambience was nice; given that it's a new restaurant, it was not too loud and crazy busy. The servers were very nice, and they give you free herbal tea (I forgot the name now) as well. I had the Fish Maw Chicken Soup Noodle, and the fresh Fish Maw texture/taste threw me off a bit, since I'm more accustomed to the crunch you get with the dry kind. But it was a good portion of fish maw in the dish, and the broth was warm and hearty. The only downside for me was that the rice noodle was too "Al-dente." I like softer texture rice noodle. The fish skin was good and in huge portion! Tl;dr: Overall, I would recommend JBC for a rainy/cold day!

A small hole in the wall noodle restaurant. I find their fish maw soup but really a golden chicken soup very comforting esp for cold windy days. I tried their fried dumplings it's just meh. I like their brown sugar rice cake. The noodle soup has a lot of little goodies like black fungus, veg, chicken etc in the soup. Watch out on days that they are not that busy...I hate getting the end of the pot.
