I was in the area, 1st time customer, craving oxtails. Food was good but the service and the employees at the time were very rude with attitudes. Not recommended unless your in the area craving soul food. Be ready to deal with the rudeness.
Rice was gummy. Smothered pork chops gravy was thick. Cabbage and mustard greens and the real kool-aid was good. Guy taking the order at start was kinda rude. The guy that checked us out was nice and asked bout the ice level and explained some things. Over all it was a nice spot but just take a lil pride in the food.
Oxtails & gravy is good but they skimp you with the portion. There are several baby oxtails and only 1 oxtails that’s a decent size. The amount of food that you get is not worth $33. I feel like I have been robbed. If they served bigger potions I would come back every time. Farmers market on Cullen gives you twice the amount of oxtails for $5 less.
