Nice addition to the options in Houston. Went on a weekday during opening hours as a solo diner, no wait and prompt service. Similarly to Kura, it’s a conveyor belt system but it’s to order so definitely much fresher. Nice selection of nigiri, some options for some more filling options and some appetizers.
Quality of the sushi was great but as others have mentioned, it is pricey (especially since the plates are usually single pieces). Spent $40 for around 7 plates and tip. Overall nice place to visit at least once to try it out, but there are plenty of other options for more bang for your buck.

I had high hopes for Kaiten Sushi in Houston, given its association with a Michelin-starred group, but the experience was underwhelming. While the idea of freshly prepared sushi sent on a conveyor belt is appealing, the execution fell flat.
First, the service was disappointing—staff seemed uninterested and slow to respond, even during less busy hours. The pricing, while not exorbitant, didn’t match the quality. Basic dishes were overpriced for what you get, and the premium items didn’t stand out either. For example, the uni, which costs $13 per piece, lacked the expected freshness and flavor. Other dishes were simply average and not memorable.
The ambiance, while clean and minimalist, couldn’t compensate for the underwhelming food and service. If you’re looking for a true kaitenzushi experience, there are better and more affordable options in Houston.

The restaurant is clean & nice. The food was just ok, the fatty tuna was chewy.. the service is the most horrible part. When we walked in no one told us to put name on the waitlist, and no waiting area inside. Staffs not communicating as all, when we asked to refilled tea, he just mad face & took 5 mins get us the tea. After all, I won’t go back again!

Trying this place out for the first time during lunch, and it was easy in & out no wait. Food comes fast after ur order, I like this concept a lot, not a lot of service or waiting for the wait staff except refiling ur hot tea and table tidy up.
Now, sushi is thick cut, pre-seasoned so u don't need a whole lot of soy sauce. It's fresh, buttery, and high quality. We ordered various sushi, everything was great, and the chef trio for the day is great, too. I love the seared scallop. Their crab chawamushi is divine (photo included)
Wait, staffs is nice and prompt. I think it's best to go during lunch.
My new fav sushi spot (closer to home instead of traffic to Kata, uchi or katami)

I think it’s ridiculous other people gave this place a low star due to the wait times as if they weren’t aware it was a new business. We went and had a wait of 45 mins on a Friday night and for us the wait was well worth it. I’ve had omakase in the past with premium fish and the quality of the fish we had here came really close to that. The nigiris were so lucious and melted in your mouth. We also had the little clams and the broth that came with it had a nice buttery creamy taste to it. Every piece of sushi we had was amazing and we left paying about $100 on a full stomach. I will def recommend and will come back.

A different experience, but great fresh TRADITIONAL sushi. If you want special American rolls this won’t be your place. Food was great, staff was very attentive, we enjoyed it and will go back again.

Went here with a party of six (I think that's the largest they accept). The food / ordering system was a little clunky, but not difficult to figure out.
The food was very fresh and very well made, everyone at the table (and we were a diverse group with some from SF and some from NYC) loved it. There were about five or so beers on the menu at this point.
As another reviewer stated, there was no "waiting" area for receiving a table, so they asked us to stand outside (and it was lightly raining, so that was a tad odd imo).
I wish the table / ordering system was a little bit more advanced. We used our phones to order, but it would have been nice if it incorporated multiple "groups" in that system, where each group was separated from the others (in ordering and paying) and then if the sushi came out stating which "group" ordered it... I realize they just bought this ordering system, but would be really good if it was.

The decor is very nice but the food and service are terrible. I will not go back, for the price I would go to katarobata for the food and service. Many buffets have this level. The sea urchin was not fresh and tasted very bitter!

Drove all the way across town… got denied seating because last seating is at 9. Should just update business hours to say they close at 9 instead of 10…… 😡
