Bread was the perfect combination of crispy and fluffy! The BBQ pork was super flavorful (chicken not as much). $5-$7 per sandwich depending on the filling (specialty may be more), but seemed like about the right price for what was being served. Milk Tea was good. Plenty of parking outside and lots of seating to enjoy the food inside.

Nostalgia of a banh mi shop that offers a buy 5 get 1 free deal. Always a good startTried their two specials with cold cuts; one with chicken and another with pork. Both sandwiches had a good amount of toppings, but I wish the bread was just a little softer and there was slightly more mayo/aioli. I especially appreciated the variety of meats they had and various other offerings (bo ne, banh bot chien, bo kho, and heo quay). Their coffee was actually pretty good as well. The owner of the shop and his son were very nice and the place was kept quite clean.Overall, this could be a banh mi shop I venture to if I wanted to buy many different types of sandwiches.

I decided to give this place a try after seeing it on Alison Cook's Top 100 list and as a farewell meal for my grandma before she flew home. She is vegetarian and I am used to Vietnamese restaurants having good vegetarian options. Unfortunately, Khang's really only had egg options since they ran out of tofu. This restaurant is primarily and first most a banh mi restaurant. There are miscellaneous extras on the menu but do not come here thinking there is extra fried rice on the menu. The cashier was very kind to me while dining here. I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi and the egg banh mi. I was hoping to order a tofu banh mi but the cashier explained that they ran out of tofu. I was also hoping to order normal boba for my Vietnamese coffee but the cashier also explained that they ran out of normal boba. All in all, our banh mi was good. The veggies were lightly pickled and the bun was soft with a crust, just like it should be. My grilled chicken had a good flavor and it tasted freshly cooked instead of being a reheated leftover. Tons of easy parking, area felt safe while I was there for lunch, outdoor and indoor seating, and fast service. Ambiance was quick counter service. This wouldn't be a romantic date spot. Pretty dated feeling and not sparkling clean - just clean enough. Feels very family run. Khang's is not close to where I usually am in Houston nor is it dramatically better than my other two favorite banh mi places (Banh mi N more/Kims *my heart* ) so I will probably not be back. However, if you live in this area or are close by, it is worth buying an affordable banh mi to eat then or later. I bought 3 sandwiches and 1 coffee for $20 - can't beat it. My grandma loved her egg sandwiches, I'm just knocking the star because running out of tofu and normal boba is annoying & the portion size of the coffee was surprisingly small due to the overload of ice.

Came here one morning on the way home from Med Center. Easy to find, right off of Bellaire and South Eldridge. After reading the reviews, I had to give this place a go. Nice decor and setup, definitely not your regular hole in the wall Vietnamese sandwich shop. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly as well. There are many choices to choose from, and they all looked like great options. So I ordered the special combination, grilled chicken, meatball, and grilled beef. Whenever I see meatball on the menu, I have to order it. I was not disappointed in any of the 4 sandwiches that I ordered. The bread was perfect, the meats were all flavorful and not over-seasoned, the sandwiches weren't saturated with mayo, and the vegetables and pickles were fresh. I should have taken pictures but I was too hungry. This place is definitely top notch!

This place is definitely out of the way, but we decided to drive an extra 15 minutes due to great reviews. It was very empty on a Wed noon but the parking lot was full of cars. They offer buy 5 get 1 free, so we got qty 1 combo, qty 2 bbq pork, qty 1 grilled beef, qty 2 meatballs. We told the man behind the register that we wanted the veggies separated with no cilantro and jalapeños. Guess what? We forgot to check before leaving and got qty 2 combo instead where the grilled beef was missing. Also, we got tons of cilantros and jalapeños.See, people need to take food allergies seriously. I told the cashier that I'm allergic to cilantros and so no cilantro. But he either didn't understand or didn't care. I was so upset that the beef was missing and also brought the whole bag of cilantros home. The bread itself was light with good amount of protein. I wish they would give more carrots and cucumbers. Also if you use credit card, they charge a service fee without telling you.

The sandwiches were really good. They had the right balance of savory, sweet and a little bite of the jalapeno. The mango slush was good but the Vietnamese coffee had too much ice.

Awesome special combination sandwich. Crispy but soft bread and warm deliciousness inside. The sliced pork melted into the homemade aioli and pate. Now I have to try the meatball sandwich as describes in their Houston Chronical article.

No one in line on a Saturday afternoon, but the place should have been packed. The banh mi was the best I have ever had, and it is cheap too. I will definitely be making more trips to this place soon.

This is not a dinner place... they close early 6:30pm. Staff was friendly but started to get anxious close to 6:30pm. I had a beef banh mi... a little stingy with the meat... where is the meat. The bread was nice.Dinning room is small I am guessing they have a good lunch crowd.

I never order banh mi thit nuong because no one makes it right, but this place has the best banh mi thit nuong I have ever had. So glad I found this place by my house. Banh mi's are around $6 for 1, they have buy 5 get 1 free.

Stopped by one time to buy a drink but disappointed because the owner charged higher than the price listed on the display so I became a one time customer!

Pretty good Vietnamese banh mi's here. It's a small family pended business so I'd love to support them. You can never go wrong with Vietnamese coffee. I'd asked for less ice for you to get more coffee in the cup. My favorite would be the special banh mi or pork with extra pate and butter
