Killen's Barbecue

This airport location is not the same food as going to a killens restaurant. The meat may be the same but not the sides at all. I was so disappointed.

Great food, especially in an airport. I'm from Texas and this is great BBQ. The brisket is smoked through. The baked beans are tasty. The mac and cheese is really good.

Ordered with ease, service was quick. Breakfast tacos were delicious. I fly frequently and usually spend way too much on a junk so this was definitely a treat. The sausage,egg and cheese taco was wonderful.

Be sure to check your chopped beef before you leave. They gave me burnt & dry bits & not fresh chopped beef. I came back & one
employee was nice & offered to give me fresh chopped beef but the other employee who was slicing the beef was reluctant to chop up some fresh brisket for me & was trying to give me more burnt dried bits. For $19 the chopped beef baked potato is not worth it, especially with the lower quality of
Meat they try to pass off to travelers who are in a hurry to catch a flight.

For an airport place, the food was really good. Brisket was fall apart tender. There was a lady right in front of us who wasn't happy with her order. The staff was friendly, apologetic and from our viewpoint, went above and beyond to fix the issue. I am not sure what the issue was but the manager and staff were extremely pleasant during the situation.

Houston native. I have stood in line for bbq at the original location, and its been great. They're not smoking it there at the airport though. Still the brisket was of great quality, flavor and tenderness. My problem was the amount. For $23, I got 2 half slices of lean brisket, some incredibly pedestrian potato salad (got this for free because they added it by mistake) the always good and original coleslaw, and some rather good mac n cheese. This is the most expensive offering on the menu and it included maybe 4 oz of meat. And they serve this to go with the lid closed so you dont get to be disappointed until you sit down. If they tried this at their restaurant, I'd tell them they could keep that plate and leave. I'll give them 1 more chance but I'm want to see the amount I'm being served before I pay
