It's your basic Kolache Factory but located in the Tunnel. They do tend to run out of the popular choices fairly quickly due to the amount of traffic they get (they were out of about 5 different flavors by 9:30am when I normally go) Know what you want cause they have a get in...get out sorta mind set at this location. Unfourtunaly that results in your kolaches only being lukewarm as opposed as being steaming hot. I get it that most people have microphones on their floors, but don't offer to heat up a kolache and still leave a bit of it cold. I would still come here because its cheap.

We were exploring the Houston Downtown Tunnels when we stumbled upon Kolache Factory. As the smell of warm, fresh kolaches filled the air, we knew we had to stop in. We were immediately impressed by the friendly service and the wide variety of kolaches available. We ordered a selection of both sweet and savory kolaches, and they were all delicious. The kolaches were soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness and savory flavor. The fillings were generous and flavorful, and the kolaches were the perfect size for a satisfying snack. We also enjoyed the coffee and croissants, which were fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made sure we had a great experience. Overall, we had a wonderful snack experience at Kolache Factory. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

?All the Kolaches were cold, like they just came out of a fridge. Maybe the microwave was broken or the worker didn't push the button. There isn't a communal microwave I can use, so it's inconvenient and, literally, leaves a bad taste in your mouth when your breakfast is cold. Not to mention the food safety concern of not serving it at a safe temperature.? The service was fast... apparently too fast ?

It’s hard to walk past this location without stopping. Nestled just below Louisiana St in the tunnels in downtown Houston it’s actually easy to get to. The selection is always fresh and the service is always good. Try the Italian Chicken and if you have a sweet tooth the peach kolache will not disappoint.

I ordered three of the fruit ones. They were a bun with fruit on top. I thought it was too much bun for the amount of fruit. Some of the others looked better but I didn’t try them.

First time visiting, on our last day of Houston visit. But definitely going back when I return to Houston. It’s really awesome stuff. Love the kolache. Great service, very attentive staff, clean place perfect for breakfast.

Service was okay, Kolaches are too small and expensive!

Good variety of kolaches, and most are very good. Even the more sort of "off beat" flavors you wouldn't expect in a breakfast food. One major warning and HUGE drawback that massively impacted my latest experience and kept me hungry: they completely neglect to label which sausage kolaches have a sausage link in them, and which are ground sausage. They all just say "sausage." I've been here multiple times before and had always received a link sausage when I ordered any sausage kolache.Imagine my horror this morning when I bit into a mutilated mess of mangled ground sausage instead of an actual sausage. I hate ground sausage in kolaches, so I tried to go back to get a kolache with an actual sausage in itrather than the desecrated corpse of what might have once been a sausage. They were polite, but I was in a huge hurry because I have a time-sensitive medication I need to take with food. They were trying to explain the difference in kolaches to me, and I was like, "Nevermind. I'm in a hurry, so I'll try to eat this one. Just please, LABEL THE TRAYS."I managed to choke down half of it before throwing it out. What a waste of time, money, and false joy at thinking I was getting a breakfast I'd been craving for weeks. And when I'd gone back to try and exchange for a real sausage kolache, another customer in line who'd also been there previously shared her surprise that I'd received unexpected mangled sausage instead of a link, as she'd always received links there too. Customers - even if it seems absurd (and it is) to need to ask if a sausage kolache has an actual link of sausage in it, apparently you do. People who run this place - LABEL YA STUFF. When people order a kolache labeled "sausage" with no further specifications, the expectation is not mincemeat. Putting "link" or "ground" next to "sausage" on the trays would alert customers before they get an unwelcome surprise. Ugh. First time in two weeks I got a weekday off and a chance to get a good breakfast, and I got a murdered sausage instead. Appropriate for Halloween, I guess, but it sucks getting the trick rather than the treat.
