Food was pretty tasty, up until we noticed a baby cockroach crawling on the sushi container inside and out
Alerted the staff who seemed very nonchalant about it and let it continue rotating all the way back into the kitchen
Canceled the rest of our order and left
If there’s a baby crawling around up front, how many are crawling in the back?

I came for the Hololive collab promotion, but this is just a fun place to go. Staff is very friendly and attentive, the place is clean, and the sushi is ready as soon as you sit down.
Even if you don’t like what’s on the conveyor belt, you can just order off the tablet menu and they will express deliver your order.
If you eat enough plates, you also get a fun little capsule toy (gacha).
It does get pretty pricey if you’re a big eater like me, so unless you have the funds to spare, I would save a visit here for a special occasion or for their promotional events to make it worth it.
Definitely gonna come again when my wallet has healed lol.

We had a fun experience here. The kids love the conveyor belt and the toys that you can win periodically. It's an interactive experience for them.
The service is also very quick and friendly - and is supported by some fun technology, like a robot that delivered our drinks.
The food itself is fine, pretty hit and miss. We enjoyed some of the rolls, but our favorite was probably the butter cake at the end. All the dishes are $3.40.

My friends went to this place for a quick bite after a convention and it was amazing. We waited a bit for our table, we didn’t mind. The food was nice especially the beef udon. We ordered mostly on the screen and it arrived very fast. The service was amazing , Andre and the Asian server (we couldn’t catch her name) were very attentive and responded well to answering our questions. The servers were greeting every customer which I found very welcoming! We will definitely be coming back

I enjoy coming here and have been here quite a few times. But I don’t understand why you’re so stingy with the wasabi?!?

Food just OK, experience good. Quantity on the band is low, you need to order single items ...
The food choices were limited. The staff was extremely slow to respond. Food taste was good. The place was loud and the booths were small.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar on Westheimer is a fun, high-tech dining experience that offers a fresh twist on traditional sushi. The conveyor belt concept keeps things lively and engaging—sushi plates glide past your table, and you can grab what looks good on the spot. If you’re in the mood for something specific, the touchscreen ordering system is super easy to use, and orders are delivered directly to your table via a second express belt.
The sushi itself is solid, especially considering the price. Favorites like salmon, tuna, and shrimp nigiri are consistently fresh, and creative rolls like the Spicy Garlic Tempura or the Seared Salmon with Miso Mayo add a bit of flair. Don’t expect high-end omakase quality, but it’s definitely a step above your average conveyor belt spot.
Portions are small (typically two pieces per plate), which makes it easy to try a lot of different options without overcommitting. Plus, there’s a gamified element—every five plates, you get a little animation on the screen, and after 15, you win a small toy from the prize machine. It’s especially fun if you’re dining with kids or a group.
Service is friendly and efficient, and the restaurant is usually clean and well-maintained. That said, wait times can be long during peak hours, and parking in the area can sometimes be a hassle.
Overall, Kura on Westheimer is a great casual spot for sushi lovers looking for a quick, fun, and relatively affordable meal. It’s not fine dining, but it’s a reliable go-to for a satisfying sushi fix.
incredible and friendly service at this location. Def not as sketchy an area as midtown houston
