La Carafe is the oldest bar in Houston and well known as one of the most haunted places in the city. With immersion ambience and a laid back atmosphere, this is a perfect place for evening drinks. Make sure to check out the upstairs as that's where most of the ghost sightings have occurred!
If there is a bar I love to visit in Houston, this is it. We love dive bars! This place up until last year was cash only, and quite honestly, I looked it being cash with the vibe. They now accept debit and credit. Small town feel bar, and it is haunted. Beer and wine only ..
Its a great spot and would recommend anyone to go. Just not on a Sunday. Our first time was on a Sat afternoon, right at open. The then bartender was very cool, gave us the history of the bar and building. He had the music loud enough and it was the best combination of Motown, classic rock, and blues.
