Very bad service. I asked if they could sell me an order of pork rinds and it was disgusting to me that there isn't anything to sell, so why do they make them as gifts or that I don't recommend this rubbish place?

I don't know why this place has a few stars. The prices are moderate. They have a slew of baked goods. I ordered a spinach pupusa. That's the first time I see a spinach and veggie pupusa. The size is generous and it's served with the usual tomato sauce and the cabbage (curtido.) The pupusa was quite good. I had a pineapple agua fresca. It wasn't overly sweet. Once the waitress brought my food, she didn't come back. She needs some training. While there weren't many folks dining there, I saw several picking up food to go. I approached the bakery section to take dessert to go. I picked a salpor, which is a rice-based cookie. I went to the cash register to pay, and it took a while as there were people in line picking up food. So if you're in a rush, this place is not for you. My pupusa took a while to be served.

Just had a meal today where I came across a fingernail on a fried tamale. One of the cooks had the nerve to say that it was shipped from El Salvador. As if they don’t make their food from scratch. Horrible accountability on their food.

WHERE IS THE MANAGER OR OWNER?? People arrive and those girls are in the back talking. THEY DO NOT SERVE the customers who arrive. One person stands waiting until they feel like leaving. They all serve in a bad mood, then they serve the food, leaving it off the plate. THE TABLES ARE ALL DIRTY. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEM AND THE BATHROOM STINKS HORRIBLE. AND IT'S SUCCIOUS, ALL THE SMELL COMES OUT WHERE YOU ARE EATING, THERE IS VERY BAD ATTENTION TO THE PUBLIC FROM THE MANAGER TO THE WAITRESS!!

Very bad service yesterday I went to buy some elotes and page tamales and then I turned to look and I was craving the riguas and I told the cashier that if she gave me three and her answer was for the next time, decide on just one and order just once because you are taking up my time and I understand that I made him charge me twice but as a worker it doesn't have to be like that now even though I drive more but I prefer to go to the Bissonnet/Hillcroft one

The two new girls are mad rude, I'm cool asking about the menu because obviously they want to try different restaurants. But when I asked the two girls, one of them asking me where I'm from, I don't understand what it has to do with where I'm from if I don't know their dishes. What's wrong with me asking and why did he have to laugh when I told him about my country? And then I asked him about the banana leaf tamales they had and he replied all ugly, "just chicken." I don't understand why they can't be nice and do their job well.

Great authentic food. Associates were very friendly and helpful since I don't speak Spanish. The ones working didn't speak English but were patient while I used my Google translate app. Food was delicious and everything I crave in authentic Mexican food. 5 stars all around!

We come here every time we can. The papusas are delicious. The curtado tends spicier than usual, but compliments them well. The tamales need a paragraph to themselves. Probably a chapter. They are nothing like Mexican beyond the basic description of filling in masa. These, however, are a tender, angelic combination of filling and masa almost like polenta. The grilled elotè are firmer but the leaf steamed pork or chicken are so nummy, I can't wait to go back They also have a nice bakery. If I could get past the first things, I could say more, but honestly the rest is just so good, I've turned friends from way up in Spring into commuters for comida

I give it one star because I can't give it less. The food is delicious but with those cashiers you don't even want to go. They treat people as if you were going to order from them and not buy from them. I hope the owners read this because those types of employees can ruin your business and I say that as a business owner. They are disgusting and always respond to you reluctantly. And it hasn't been a one-time thing, I've been there many times and it's always the same, even on the phone. We owe it to our clients. And I'm not saying that that's why they have to put up with rude customers, but when you go looking for breakfast, the last thing you want to see is bad faces and being reluctantly given your food.
