I gave 5 stars on the Service and Atmosphere because I ordered through UberEats and didn't want to harm score. However on the food. It was mediocre. I'm surprised by the high scores throughout. I had the Chef Tonys Favorite Chicken and Beef with Broccoli. The chicken was too sweet and just not very good, beef and broccoli was a bit better. For the price - Mala Sichuan right around the corner is WAYYYYY better.

One waitress here is very rude and seems not able to understand English while avoiding her work. The cup of water her brought is dirty. I spoke English to her to ask replace it for several times. She cannot understand English well and keep saying “I cannot understand Chinese“ to get rid of the work she should do. Too unprofessional

I’ve been coming to this place for a while, and while the service remains excellent—thanks to the friendly owner and wonderful staff like Kristel and Ada. Recently the prices have gone up significantly. Unfortunately, I no longer feel the dishes are worth the cost. And I used to order frequently through UberEats, but I was disappointed to discover that the ‘Buy One, Get One’ promotion was actually ‘Buy One, Get One 50% Off,’ which felt misleading. I hope the management can reconsider their pricing and promotions. That said, it’s still one of the best spots for Chinese food in town.

The food was good, however the service was lacking. The restaurant was almost empty, but we had to wait for water refills each time and the beef we ordered had no sauce. The service was not commensurate with the cost.

First time here with friend. Very disappointed. We ordered grilled whole fish, spicy fried chicken, and garlic pork belly. The grilled whole fish has two small fishes and some veggies. Tastes ok but a little salty. Don’t think it worths 40 dollars. The spicy fried chicken is not authentic at all and tastes too sweet. Feels like it’s changed to fit local appetite. Garlic pork belly is good and tastes fresh without weird smell. Little service until requested.

Recommended best Szechuan in Montrose. Very good Chinese food and equally good service; friendly staff. Ordered hot and sour soup (one of the best I’ve had), chicken egg roll, chicken with vegetables and dry chili chicken (recommend this dish, loved it!)

It was extremely unpalatable. The portions are small and the service is of no quality at all. Maybe it’s because it has so many good reviews. Please pay attention to lightning protection. Whoever eats is taken advantage of

Had a to go order with the large General tsos chicken and it was not large at all. The container of rice and chicken was also not filled. The sauce for the chicken was also watery and flavorless. Restaurant had a great atmosphere and host seemed nice.

A Szechuan Sojourn: More Fizzle than Sizzle
Ambiance and Service: Nothing to write home about. The staff managed to perform their duties with a not so busy Fri night dinner.
The Culinary Rollercoaster:
Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetables: Good start with variety of veggies with typical stir fry taste.
Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken: Crunchy - Yes, Salty - Yes, Special - NA. Didn't finish it, nuff said.
"Extremely Spicy" Fish: The quotation marks are doing some heavy lifting here. This dish took its sweet time arriving, presumably because it was busy removing any trace of spice along the way. The peppers were there for moral support, I suppose.
The Verdict:
Three stars feels generous, but the service saved the day. Would I return? Only if I suddenly develop an intense craving for disappointment served with a side of false advertising. There are better ways to spend your money and taste buds in this town.

Very authentic and tasty Szechuan food. Here there is a wide variety of traditional Chinese dishes and each one is sensational as well as the peppercorns themselves.

Amazing atmosphere, incredible food, and the owner is to the most authenticity, a personable person. This place has never disappointed. Great for dates and family night. We come every Saturday!

Nice restaurant to try the authentic Sichuan cuisine. The Black Tea and Camphor duck is great. It has a unique flavor distinguished itself from the Beijing (Peking) roasted duck or Cantonese roasted duck. I strongly recommend diners not dipping the duck in the sauce nor be wrapped because it is not the traditional way to eat it. The traditional Sichuan way is just to eat the duck by itself.
The Lao Sze Chuan twice cooked pork is good. The meat selection is great and well sliced. 火爆腰花 it is a bit spicy, and 木耳 should be sliced to match the formation of the meat.
The food was good but a bit overpriced compared to other Sichuan restaurants.
