Tried going there today and there was a chain on the door and a for lease sign in the window. 11:30am
Can’t really review the food, altho I would like to be able to. Made my 2nd treck down there for lunch Wed around 1230. Chains on the door, no one inside. Door hours say 11-4. No note saying why closed.

A bit ghetto for my taste. Google shows hours online where they close at 3pm on a Sunday. I actually CALLED just to make sure, and I was told they close at 2pm. Should've been a red flag because the hours already aren't matching. But drove by there, arrived at 1:22pm, and there's a whole chain and lock on the front door. Smdh. Called again, and of course no one answered. WHYY are "our people" so ghetto sometimes and unprofessional when it comes to business operations? I really do try to support small businesses, but please let's be professional.

I came here based on the reviews. However, don’t believe everything you read. The owner/cook is extremely welcoming, but this location needs some true TLC. The entire kitchen is beyond filthy. Apparently Harris County Health Inspectors have yet to make their rounds to this side of town. The available food behind the glass was old and soggy due to being up for hours on end. To the left of the kitchen is a freezer for drinks, but there was an unwrapped pie at the bottom that was for sale. The sample of gumbo she provided was amazing, but I was hesitant to try it due to the filthy stove & disgusting floor that looks like the last mop/sweep session was 12 months ago.As far as the seating side, it was exceptional clean. She seems like a very sweet lady and she takes pride in her food, but she really needs to clean up her restaurant. I would hate for Darius Cooks to pop up with a random food review visit.

The lady was sooo friendly and helpful, it was my first time. The meat is so tender and everything is homemade. A perfect home cooked meal. The kool-aid was delicious as well. Everything was just perfect . Definitely coming

This is a hardcore authentic South Louisiana hole in the wall Creole seafood restaurant. The menu is whatever Pam tells you they have when you get there. Don't worry there are plenty of choices and there's always gumbo and etouffee. The flavors deep, dark, a little funky. Service is minimal - you order at the counter, she brings you the food, then you go back to the counter and get your silverware and napkins. There are at least two TVs on different channels and turned to max volume. I you're the only one in the dining room you can watch whatever you want. The place is dirty - the kitchen is in the middle of the first room and the pots are black with rolling fire. Like I said, authentic. The furniture is scratched and old and cheap. This restaurant and Pam herself are right out of Central Casting for a South Louisiana bayou. There may not be another place like this in Houston and for that reason alone it's worth going.

Absolutely delicious. We were greeted warmly as we entered for lunch. We got shrimp & grits and stuffed bell pepper with greens and black eyed pea sides. I have no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Had heard the hype. Have meant to try it sooner, but timing never fell into place. Stepped in and Pam came from behind the counter and gave me a big hug and a sample of gumbo. Already knew I wanted the etouffee. Had collard greens and candied yams as sides. Just had to close my eyes and I was in Louisiana. So good. I'm such a fool for not coming sooner.

Some of the Best soul food on the North in my eyes and the customer service is amazing the best gumbo I’ve had in Houston 100% recommend *update just went again and loved the food got the oxtails and smothered chicken pictures below ?
Let me tell you about Le’Pam! I was craving gumbo on a random weekday and googled “Gumbo near me” and her restaurant was recommended. I called and she greeted me with so much enthusiasm and joy. I ordered and went to pick it up and she was so lovely. She allowed me the option of tasting the food and everything was delicious. I’ve never experienced the level of professionalism and respect in fast food management. The food was great, she was great, and the energy was great. Highly recommended!
If you're looking for the most flavorful food... coming here is a must. You will get a greeting like no other as soon as you walk in the door. Pam will make you feel at home and explain all of her dishes. The best home cooked meal around. This is 10 times better than any restaurant food. The stuffed bell pepper is loaded with flavor. The smothered pork chops are perfect. You have to try the collard greens and okra.It was worth the 35 mile drive for us.They gave us a sample of the gumbo, it was wonderful. I ordered some to go after my meal.We will definitely be back.

Was in the mood for a good Po'Boy after car shopping all day, so we headed to Google. The picture I saw on Le'Pam's told me this was a place to get a real New Orleans Po' Boy. So we headed over. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by Ms. Pam, like we had just walked into her home. Very welcoming, talked to us while having us taste everything she had on the menu like we were family she hadn't seen in a while. That alone, even if the food was just OK, earned our business. But let me tell you! The food was WAY more than just OK. The food was amazing!! She didn't have the Po'Boys today but will tomorrow, so my wife and I shared a plate of OX Tails, Mac&Cheese, and Red Beans&Rice. With a side of cabbage. We both were full and satisfied. The plus for me is that she doesn't use pork in her dishes..It's hard for me to enjoy soul food eating out because everyone cooks with pork and I don't eat pork. We were shocked to hear that she has been there for 9yrs, we've been here for 5 and we're just discoving Le'Pam's. We'll be back tomorrow for the Po'Boys.
