The Lemon Tree is one of my favorite restaurants because of their ceviche, fish, combination fried rice, their delicious desserts, and fresh food ingredients! Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is spacious and very beautiful. The service is a little slow and it is clear that there was only one waitress. But the food was not good, the ceviche had white and purple onion, my son did not like it and he loves ceviche but the fish was chewy with no flavor, my dish was not good either, I practically left more than half of it.

Excellent! Delicious
The food was delicious, but there is always natural juices and they are delicious. This time there wasn't ONE natural juice. Anyways the food was great and the staff was really nice.

The food was mostly quite bland across most of the dishes we had. The Lomo Saltado and ceviche were ok, however. The rest seemed to be lacking some flavor or creativity. The chips were stale the sauces were flavorless and fatty mayonnaises based. The whole place smells like SMOKE. Very heavy cigarette smell that meant I had to throw all my clothes in the wash the instant I got home. There is a “service charge” added to the bill even though a tip still seems to be expected on top of this. A place that in all is just not worth the price or hassle imo.

Small Peruvian restaurant.
I haven't visited this place for several years, they still offer typical Peruvian food; Excellent flavor with good size portions.
Possibly the best ceviche in the city.

The ceviche did not have very much flavor.
This used to be my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Houston. I’m not sure what happened.

The Lemon Tree is hands down the best Peruvian food in Houston! From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the perfect stage for an incredible dining experience. The decor is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for any occasion.
The food is simply phenomenal! Each dish is an authentic celebration of Peruvian flavors, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The ceviche is an absolute must-try—zesty, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Their lomo saltado is packed with bold flavors, and the aji de gallina is pure comfort food. Every bite feels like a culinary trip to Peru!
The service is equally exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and passionate about sharing the culture and flavors behind every dish. They’re always happy to recommend favorites or explain the menu if you’re new to Peruvian cuisine.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and unforgettable Peruvian food, The Lemon Tree is the place to go. It’s truly a gem in Houston, and I’ll be coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

Honestly, the only thing I like about this place is the people who run it. They are kind and hardworking. The food is super salty, not visually appealing, and really not very tasty. My daughter had a spaghetti dish, and the pasta was so over cooked it was mushy. The meat was super salty. It's as if they are curing the meat! It is just not very appetizing. My other daughter had some meat, vegetables, and white rice dishes, which was so salty that she wouldn't eat the meat. The seasoning is out of proportion. My dish was a fish dish. It had so much salt that you couldn't really taste any other flavor. My husband, who loves salt, wouldn't even eat it. However, the food is actually not my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is the volume level of the music played in the restaurant. It is so extremely loud that we really struggled to hear conversation, and my ears were ringing all the way home. Not an enjoyable experience overall.
