Lomontes Italian Restaurant and Bar

Everytime ive eaten here it has been spectacular. I recommend this place to everyone i meet - friends and family. My favorite dish is the Rainbow Trout. Wonderful spot with an amazing staff. Lomonte's Italian exceeded every expectation! You would never know that you are right off of a major interstate (one street off with no visual of I-10), because the atmosphere is so quaint and laid back. It reminded me a lot of the atmosphere around Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas. There was a live acoustic band that played out near the bar area and the volume was perfect...just enough volume to hear the music and words of the songs but also quiet enough for normal/ casual conversation. The we sat out on the patio in late June for our 8:00 pm reservation, and we were very comfortable, temperature wise) despite the heat of the day. The staff was perfectly attentive, genuinely polite and knowledgeable of the entire menu as well as their night's specials. The drinks were expertly made , the food was heavenly, and dessert was the literal icing on the cake for our night. Our group of five women enjoyed the lemon drop and espresso martinis. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread for an appetizer and followed that with the most incredible meal: Scampi Lomonte, Filet Mignon, Halibut, and a classic Fettuccini Alfredo. The butter, olive oil and garlic sauce over angel hair pasta was a perfect side for each meal. For dessert we enjoyed their house made Italian Crème Cake and Tiramisu. Overall, we give Lomonte's Italian in Houston, TX at 10 out of 10! It was quite literally the best meal of our lives.

This place is pretty good, except their Veil needs to be more tender and also they need to offer a couple steaks on the menu. They have the best garlic bread there we have ever had! :-) The service is very good (Juan is great) but you need to make a reservation as the inside main restaurant area is not that big and it's crowed even during the week after work.

The back bar area has a great happy hour menu (but you can only eat it in there and not main restaurant) and have live entertainment out there during the week and on the weekends.

Recommend going there and you can park in front or near by as they have an agreement with other owners in the area when it's crowded at Lomontes.

Lamonte's is an exceptional Italian Restaurant and serves most of all our Italian favorites, and it is a small venue and very home like setting which makes for a great place for special occasions and romantic dinners. All of their dishes are carefully crafted and certain not to disappoint. We always ask our selves 2 Questions when going to any Restaurant, would you order it again and would you go back?? The answer to both is absolutely Yes, Yes and might I add, how about tomorrow.

We all had the Beef Marsala which was excellent! The beef was so tender you could have cut it with a butter knife! Miguel was our waiter who is great! Always attentive and we never had to wait for anything!

This restaurant is located in the Energy Corridor, right off Highway 6 and I-10. We absolutely love the atmosphere there.
From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming vibe makes you feel right at home, just like a true Italian restaurant should.
The food is incredibly delicious, especially the pasta dishes, which always taste homemade and authentic. Their desserts are excellent as well, and the drink menu offers a great variety of choices.

They also have a stylish bar lounge area that is perfect for relaxing or meeting up with friends and coworkers after work and the patio that can host small parties, ...

Food was ok. Kind of like my English grandma made. Give it three stars because it was average houston italian. A cut above olive garden . Risotto balls were nothing to write home about. Kind of bland. Atmosphere outside in spring was nice.
