It’s getting worse and worse. The taste is not good. The buns are cold and not as fresh and delicious as they were 6 years ago.

Really good?

The pork and cabbage pie was obviously raw, but the store said it was beef, so that’s what I ordered. It was pork... and it was for pregnant women. I will report it to the relevant authorities.

I'd skip their dumplings, they are so tiny, rip off

Meh. Food was ok, expensive compared to other area restaurants. The person behind the counter didn't seem interested in serving me and ignored my questions about ingredients that weren't listed in English. They finally responded with an eye roll when I did order a bun. I guess you've gotta be a local to get good service ‍

Like BaoZi! Bean and veggie insider are great!

I had the Bamboo Shoots and Pork Belly dish and the Fish Ball Soup. The first came in a red sauce and was quite delicious. The Fish Ball Soup had a great broth. The actual fish balls had good tasting fish, but the dough was a little pasty. Seems like a restaurant with more authentic Chineese dishes. Some I would probably not venture to try. Enjoy.

I am absolutely all timer fan to this hometown flavor staple with full of north eastern coastal pastries. Flavors are light and classic. Just can't forget to worship my Chinese temple of stomach over here Chinese donuts are huge sized and satisfying all my taste buds, veggie bun, small pork bun, green bean pork bun, stuffed pancake are all authentic. Hmmm, all the homesick are well worth with a sip of simple grind soy milk

The best is their vegetarian rice noodle bao zi. Their straight up pork bun (I think they called it xiao long bao) was not good.. meat looked and tasted dry. (But I am very spoiled w family that makes pork/shrimp buns w great quality ingredients.) The pork and sour veg bun tasted a bit better only bc a bit more flavor from the veg. The pig feet and pig ear was better than Alan's (or whatever was next to the market across Bellaire St... that place is super salty), good soy sauce coloring but it seems to lack a star anise or clove.. a little more kick in the spices (I'm also not from Northern China, which I read is this place??.. so we marinate differently.) Soy milk was nice and hot and real w sludge left over. The veggie and pork/veggie bai zi are huge. I'm not dying to return, but would just get their veggie bao zi.

Tasted like frozen buns. The skin of the bun was tasteless, the filling was dry and lacking, and the taste was poor.

This is an awesome Chinese breakfast place- we were just trying to do take out at any Chinese place that open early enough for us and this is a pleasant surprise. We ordered soy milk, meat bun and you tiao and we are satisfied with all of them. Food is delicious and price is reasonable, if you need a quick simple northern style Chinese breakfast take out this is your place to go.

Their veggie buns are good ! I would recommend them for sure. Went for the first time, I asked the employee if something had meat in the sauce or anything and I guess they didn't put two and two together and sold me another item that has a vegetable in the title but mentions nothing about pork being in it? The employee was rushed (perhaps a big order came in?) and they were still rushing when I picked up the food 15-18 mins later. Who knows what happened but, they need to be more careful about that. Food was luke warm. Seems like it gets bagged hot and placed on a cold table. Or I got lucky and got their morning batch of buns?Didn't taste bad all on all though. But being that Chinatown tends to have more people that eat strictly vegetarian because of their beliefs (i.e all the Buddhist temples everywhere?), they need to really improve their customer service.

Looking for authentic handmade buns? Look no further. Went on a Sunday and the store was well stocked in all types of buns (meats, veggies). The bun was made from leaven dough and very airy. Just like how my parents and grandparents make it. The vegetarian one was very good. We also got plain soy milk which was freshly made with aroma of soy beans. Portions were very large. Price very reasonable.
