Food was good. Went during “peak hours” on a Sunday and right as we were getting up from our seats, another couple was already sitting in those same seats. No space to form a line and far too crowded. Got to visit during the non-rush hours so you can eat comfortably.

Good coffee and a fine selection of pastries. Try their sandwiches - chicken and turkey, both very good. For your sweet tooth, go for cinnamon roll or koiche amman (I hope I got the spelling right). The latter is a crispy, caramelized and flaky bun.
Limited seating inside and a few tables and chairs out on the sidewalk.
Service is excellent, which is why most folks keep coming back! Kudos to the team.

Come here for the pastries and the great coffee!!
But they are two key things. You need to be careful:
1 - parking . It's not great and very predatory but it's not their fault. The parking garage behind has parking spaces that are unmarked but the company managing it is highly predatory and is waiting for people to park there to extract a 110 extortion fee to remove your car. They immediately put boots on your car. You can tell that it's organized because it took them 2 minutes to come in and boot another vehicle who had just parked.
2- If you eat on the tables outside, be careful to have Shameless homeless people come close to your table and snatch some food.
Both of these situations happened to me on different visits
For these two reasons, primarily the first one I am unlikely to return ever.
Best Bakery in Houston!! They treat you like family :)
I have been going to this bakery for 2 years now and this is by far the best bakery in town, the owners are the nicest people and the food is absolutely stunning. Their sandwiches are great, and their bread is top quality, as a French person it is like an island of home here.
They are regularly changing their menu with top quality tarts and pastries !
I would leave 100/5 if I could.

I finally made it out to this place, super cute. Coffee was good. Ham and brie baguette sandwich was tastey. Bread was a little hard but really good and true french baguette, so to be expected, just takes some strong teeth, lol. The croissant is the real deal,, crunch on outside, soft in middle, with layers of pastry. I bought several other pastries. The kough aman was super sized and the best Ive ever had. Will explore the rest later.
We got a variety of pastries and they were all pretty good. The pastry case was full at opening which is a great convenience. The kouign amann was our favorite - very buttery. The pistachio croissant and eclair were both lacking in the flavor that they came in. The chocolate chip cookie was fine but nothing special. The chocolate almond croissant was decent but heavy on the chocolate filling and not evenly spread with the almond filling. The cinnamon roll was really good
Best Bakery in Houston downtown. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Great seating area with multiple bakery options and variety of coffee drinks. Has free WiFi and restrooms. Next to Metro station where the view at the road is amazing. The vibe and atmosphere of this place makes your morning great and pushes you towards excellence and happiness when you see people are enjoying their time here. Visited this place every day while my staying in town for a week.

This is hands down the best French bakery outside of France! It feels like youโre stepping into a patisserie in Paris when you enter. The pastries are amazing and so beautifully crested. The staff is so lovely and accommodating! Iโll been thinking about this place for years to come

I can't praise enough this TRUE French bakery!!!
The coffee eclair was very good, filled with coffee cream and not regular blend vanilla like other places.
The hazelnut dome with craquelin at the bottom was absolutely delicious!!! For me, the best executed cake tasted in the US so far!
And finally a real flaky and most and fresh croissant!!! SO GOOD!
I wish I lived in Houston! So many things looked delicious.
You won't be disappointed by this true bakery!
