First time here. We came here for a quick lunch bite. We had the shrimp tempura, spicy tuna roll, salmon nigiri and Astro roll. I recommend them all. We will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved it! Thank you for a lovely time! Relaxed and hopping place. You can definitely enjoy yourself here.
We had the mushroom onion soup, agadashi tofu, soft shell crab tempura, orange blossom roll, pink lady roll, and a fried roll.
The Agadashi tofu - smoky bonito flakes surrounded the lightly fried tofu, the sweet sauces wasn’t too sweet, short strings of seaweed gave wonderful sea flavor and depth.
The orange blossom roll was wonderful. Light and fruity with orange peel and light juice on top. The yellow tail was so yummy.
The pink lady was also very tasty!
The other roll was awesome!
Nothing negative to report. We are picky so nothing negative means worth a trip.

Not understanding the hype. Came here for lunch and had to repeat I wanted soup three times, got my order wrong so I had to wait longer and had to ask to refill my water. Food tasted bad. My spicy tuna tasted like tuna from can instead of raw tuna sushi. Rice was hard. My friend ordered beef bento box and the teriyaki beef was not grilled, it was broiled, chicken side tasted sour to the point you couldn’t tell if it was chicken or pork. Menu should list the dumplings on side as pork. I won’t be back for lunch menu. It’s over priced for service and quality of food.

Very good sushi, and a small selection of other Japanese dishes. I recommend the Yakisoba. My husband said the sashimi was very good.

My wife and I stopped in on our way home this evening on a whim and sat at the bar, not realizing they had just opened for business today. This is now our new go to sushi place. We're glad to have a place so close to home that has top notch sushi that isn't crazy expensive! Every piece of nigiri and sashimi we had was perfect. Perfect flavor, perfect texture, perfect presentation. The quality was on par with places that charge a lot more.
This is a new location (Memorial near Wilcrest) that just opened and seating is limited. I highly recommend making a reservation because once word gets out, it's going to fill up fast!

I am so excited to see Mamasan back and making delicious, great quality sushi. She is such an amazing person who is always so carrying. The new location is very busy, but I have to give credit to the service, because they are very efficient and super friendly.
As for the menu, there are plenty of options including dinner choices like teriyaki chicken that my daughter had. I had Orange Blossom roll, which I love because it has the perfect pairing of yellowtail, salmon and tuna topped with flavorful orange zest.

Welcome, Mamasan Sushi!
I have been so excited about this place since I saw the construction starting. It’s directly across the street from my neighborhood, so each day going to and coming from work, I had a watchful eye. This space has been a several things through the years. More recently, it was a custom home builder, then a boutique clothing store.
From what I could tell online, this is a location move for Mamasan Sushi. This was confirmed on our visit for lunch yesterday. I heard the waitress telling the table near us.
I went with my aunt, who is not a big sushi eater, so I wasn’t as experimental as I would be with a group of sushi eaters. I love having at least one other person to share rolls with and try platters. Sushi eating is not just a meal, it is an eating experience. The restaurants is nicely themed and clean. I had the spicy tuna roll, egg rolls, and hot saki. The presentation was great. My aunt had the tempura vegetables. My food was terrific, and I saw other guest orders that looked fantastic! They have a full menu including noodles, and other items for people who may not like sushi in its true form. For those who do like sushi in full, they have sashimi and other items to satisfy the craving.
Prices are good. For my portion, before tip, the total bill was only $27.06. Sushi can be a pricey meal, so I thought their prices were great!
The bathrooms are very clean. I will definitely be back to try more. They have booth seating, regular table and chair options, plus, the sushi bar. I much prefer to sit at the bar top for my sushi dining, but again, I was with someone who is not versed in sushi dining. Our waitress was such a joy. She was pleasant, very helpful, and just a warm energy all around. Yesterday was day 5 this new location has been open. The waitress said they’ve had a great welcoming and get pretty busy. I was surprised it was as busy as it was when we went. The parking is a little small. They share the tiny 3-4 business strip location with 555 Bistro (also highly recommend), but the parking can get pretty full. Nonetheless, this is not a place to miss. This little gem is going to be a winner and I couldn’t be more excited!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options like tempura vegetables and noodles are available.
Parking: Parking was available at the time I went, but because the lot is so small, it can get pretty full fast. They share the space with a fabulous French restaurant that is always busy. This place is fabulous too, so there could be parking issues as people start to frequent. It’s worth it!

Ordered 3 sushi rolls and beef yakisoba. The yakisoba was the wrong type of noodle and the beef was very tasty. The sushi rolls are not at all authentic. They didn't even wrap the seaweed all the way around. The shape was also very off, more like ovals. Low quality rice and fish. Hardly above all-you-can-eat. The wasabi has no taste and the ginger is cheap. The spicy crawfish roll has no flavor. I only at one roll. Would not come back. No one who works there is Japanese.

Excellent sushi in an unassuming location. Very creative and tasty rolls. A bit heavy on the sauce on a few rolls. Great, attentive service!
