This was our first visit, so my review is based on very limited experience. The bread service at the beginning is a fantastic selection including two each of hot seeded rolls right out of the oven, slices of sourdough, and a few of the best sesame seeded breadsticks in town. The endive salad was large and exceptionally good. The pastas are all made in house. My wife's veal parmesan was well made, comparable to the best versions in town. I had the King crab with squid ink spaghetti, Nduja, cherry tomatoes, and corn. It was good, but there was a bit too much going on in this dish. Nduja is great on a pizza, but over-powered the King crab. The squid-ink pasta was hidden by the tomato/nduja sauce. There was one medium size piece of King crab. If they want to feature the crab and black pasta then I think they would do better with a less complex and aggressive combination of elements: perhaps, a light sauce of garlic, olive oil, and parsley with a touch of saffron cream. The wine list included a good selection of wines from California, France, Italy, and Spain. We had a nice Priorat which is not that common to find on Houston wine lists. It was excellent at a reasonable price. Our waitress, Kimberly, was exceptionally good. She knows her menu very well and struck the right balance between attention and leaving us alone. She gave us a complimentary slice of olive oil cake, which I had heard about but never had before. It is a light and pleasant way to end a meal. Thank you Kimberly. Overall, it is a nice, quiet, somewhat dark, restaurant with a good wine list at reasonable prices. I like any place that makes fresh pasta. Next time I will try a more traditional or subdued dish like the Bolognese or gnocchi, or perhaps Branzino.

such a great italian place.
we came by to celebrate a birthday.
arrived a little early to sit at the bar for a started drink and moved to the restaurant.
food was amazing. we share the lasagna, arenchini, scampi and the garlic knots.
everything was really good.
our waiter was knowledgeable and we ordered most of her recommendations which we did not regret at all.
finished with Connolly and olive cake. both were up to the amazing standard of the entire meal.
hands down will come by again to try the rest of the menu.

Probably the best Italian food I’ve ever had with impeccable Michelin level service. Every dish was phenomenal from apps to dessert!

Our server, Fatima, was amazing. She made A+ recommendations, knew the menu well, and was very attentive. All of the staff seemed very happy to be there. The food was very tasty and the ambiance was unbeatable. Would highly recommend this place. Get the olive oil cake!

Food was delicious! Mushroom pasta, arancini, broccolini, and olive oil cake were 10/10. Service was great, Daniel was the best!

I have had a carbonara pasta in A LOT of restaurants around the US and in other countries. This is one of the best I’ve had.

The service was great and the place was cozy and romantic.

Ate dinner here last Saturday and then had to go back again last night. Food is incredible - service is fantastic - one of my boyfriend’s and my new faves for sure!

Last weekend, we had the hearts of palm salad and the mushroom pasta - favorites of the night - we also had the tuna appetizer, ricotta gnocchi, and chicken parmesan - the tuna appetizer was up there with the faves and my boyfriend dug the chicken parm, but the ricotta gnocchi was the least favorite (although still tasty) - and for dessert, we did tiramisu - made in restaurant and so amazing

Last night, we tried their two specials (a king crab + squid ink pasta dish and a grilled summer squash plate) - both were yummy - the favorites of the night were the braised short rib lasagna and lamb kebab - and we also had the parsley salad and brick chicken - and for dessert, the olive oil cake

Next time we go, we’ll likely try all new things because there are just so many tasty sounding items on their menu and they change/add things! But if you’re looking for a recommendation for two on what we ate, go for the hearts of palm salad and the tuna appetizer - followed by the mushroom pasta - if you’re hungry, shoot for the brick chicken and lamb kebab (they’d go well together) - otherwise, do the lasagna or one of the parms - and for dessert, go olive oil cake, hands down!

Milton’s has a retro yet sophisticated atmosphere perfect for a date night. We started off with some cocktails which were delicious and fun (get the Montecarlo for a chance to try your luck ;) I knew we were in for a good meal with the love at first bite of the arrosticini. The salads were so flavorful and fresh, so don’t miss out on them. For entrees, we went with the gnocchi and lasagna. Very impressed by both. Finished off the night with an incredibly light tiramisu and rich chocolate tart. The service here was also a highlight of the night (Thank you Ryan!). We will be back again soon ✨

I had THE BEST BIRTHDAY DINNER 🥳 at Milton’s earlier this month. I hosted a cozy dinner party here for a group of six friends, and we were all blown away by the exceptional service from the moment we walked in until the time we left. Our server ➡️Ryan⬅️ was one of the best hospitality experts I’ve ever encountered. He was deeply knowledgeable and helpful and just outright a delight who shared his love of food with us. Give this place a try! :)

Treated myself to a solo date here!
I cannot wait to go back again the experience was amazing all around. If you have a chance ask for Fatima she’s very well educated on the business and is really personable.

The ambience was definitely somewhere to come back for a special occasion or nice dinner out.

Milton's ticks all the boxes, as you would expect. It's classy and comfortable without breaking the bank. Go for a drink at the beautiful bar, indulge in some small bites with friends (highly recommend the Tuna N'duja and Sicilian Tar Tar), or settle in for uncomplicated, perfectly balanced Italian food. The cocktails are imaginative and delicious (e.g., the Nattahnam, a delicious twist on a Manhattan) and the wine list is superb. The somms know their business, take advantage and ask for a recommendation (kudos to Mark and the beverage team). We had an absolutely perfect Montepulciano that was affordable and paired beautifully with the 100 layer lasagna and eggplant parm. Our server, Fatima, was attentive without being overbearing, and so nice! She made great suggestions and checked in as needed to make sure we were having fun and being taken care of. Simply a fantastic evening. We will be back!
