I’ve traveled all across the country trying vegan restaurants, but nothing compares to this place — nothing. The food is phenomenal: true Southern comfort, completely plant-based, and made with so much heart you can taste it in every bite. The staff is incredibly kind, and the whole atmosphere feels like stepping into a vibrant slice of Southern living… just vegan-style. Every dish is flavorful, filling, and clearly crafted with love. This restaurant has officially become one of my absolute favorites — so much so that I’m genuinely considering having them cater my (vegan!) wedding. That’s how good it is. If you want soulful, delicious, unforgettable vegan food, this is the spot.
Chill vibe. Good music. Friendly service. Excellent coffee drinks. Broad menu and delicious food. We loved everything about this place. We ate the breakfast taco trio, and each one was delicious. We also had the sweet potato hash bowl with added brussel sprouts (gotta have those!). And we had the smashed cajun papas (i would go again just for those alone!). Definitely want to eat here again next time we are in Houston.
What a great spot! I'll start with the fact that I am not Vegan, but my visiting daughter in law is. We came for brunch on a Saturday and found a great experience and excellent food. Plenty of options whether you choose a vegan diet or not, you can eat something delicious.

This is probably the first time that I tried croissants stuffed with rice, which was amazingly good, largely thanks to the creamy sauce. An energetic and satisfying brunch makes a wonderful beginning of Thanksgiving holiday.

I prefer to consume the most exquisite vegan food so I had high expectations when decided to try out Mo's Better Brews, and they did not disappoint in the slightest! I was blown away by everything we tried all the dishes were huge and delicious!
I tried the Peach Cobbler and Strawberry Cheezecake Pancakes, the Johnny Nash Hash, the Breakfast Quesadilla, Mo' Better Breakfast combo, Dilla Dount Sandwich, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and the Elderberry Lemonade. I seriously devoured it all, everything was so delicious I couldn't stop eating!
The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and decadently covered in delicious toppings. The Johnny Nash hash was colorful, healthy, and tasty! The Mo Better Breakfast Combo was an amazing spread of tofu scramble, sausage, and wonderful toast and elderberry jam. The Breakfast Quesadilla was huge and full of amazing flavor. The Dilla Dount Sandwich was so filling and a great combination breakfast foods on a donut sandwich. The spinach artichoke dip was so creamy and tasty. Lastly the elderberry lemonade was super refreshing. I really loved it all!
All the food was all fairly priced and we didn't have to wait long at all despite our large order. We're super happy that we decided to try Mo's Better Brews and can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
Parking is very limited and the space inside the restaurant feels a bit tight, but overall we enjoyed the service and the food.
However, we did order a matcha tea close to closing time and it was served in a to-go cup that was about half the usual size, and our truffle fries took longer than expected to arrive.

Great patio. Great menu and the food is delish. I’m not veggie or vegan, and I would put the vegan egg dishes toe to toe with any egg dishes. Cauliflower dishes are very tasty.

My husband had been trying to order their Thanksgiving catering since this past Saturday, but their online ordering system was down Saturday and Sunday. He called them on Sunday asking if he could place the order over the phone and pickup on Wednesday. The girl who answered said he can’t do it over the phone and he would have to go in person to order. He got there on Sunday in person and the same girl who answered said oh sorry you have to order online. Sunday was the last day to order for catering, then a yt woman came to speak with my husband and said he would be able to order online on Monday. Monday came and he tried to order online but he had to sign up first to even receive an email for catering, even though they told him he could and would have to order online. Betina emailed him yesterday on Monday and said “ordering for catered food closed on Sunday”. So he could not place an order for catering, but could only order a Thanksgiving meal for $22 that could literally feed my 1yr old. That’s how small the portions of food were. They have horrible communication and customer service, and wouldn’t even try to accommodate for their miscommunication and mess up, on top of the fact that he called AND went in person and was still given wrong information. Very unprofessional and disorganized. My husband was a very loyal customer, and had been looking forward to ordering this food since October because vegan catering is hard to find. It’s so sad with the upcoming holiday that we can no longer support a black owned business because they can’t communicate properly with their customers. Please do better in the future.

I really wanted to like this place, but almost everything fell short.
Food:
• The “acai” bowl is not açaí at all—just a watery purple smoothie poured into a bowl.
• The Boss Flatbread was about 70% sauces and ended up completely soggy.
• The kids’ pancake plate is a joke: $10 for two dollar-sized pancakes and a tiny handful of grapes and berries.
• The only dish worth mentioning is the trio grits, which were actually good.
Drinks:
• Service was painfully slow. Our drinks came after our food, and only after we asked three separate times.
• The margarita was so sweet it was undrinkable. We even asked for the least sweet option, and it somehow came out even sweeter.
Service:
• Slowest it could possibly be. No urgency, no attention… not even to bring the check.
Pros:
• The outdoor seating is nice—shaded, comfortable, and kid-friendly.
Unfortunately, the setting is the only thing this place gets right. Everything else needs a serious rethink.

Soul motown easy listeningmusic, a cared-for patio, southern breakfast. What else may you be looking for for your sunday?
The service is very atentive and professional. The waiter had his scrip so memorized it was difficult for me to pick it up.

Mo' Brunch + Brews is an absolute must-visit!
The coffee here is excellent — rich, smooth, and easily some of the best in the area. The food is equally impressive: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. Everything tastes like it’s made with real care.
And the 10 AM to 11 AM $10 deal? You honestly can’t beat that anywhere. It’s an amazing value for the quality you get, and it makes this place even more worth visiting.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the overall experience is consistently great.
Highly recommend Mo' Brunch + Brews for anyone who loves good coffee, good food, and a good deal!

I had an amazing experience at Mo' Brunch + Brews! I ordered the Johnny Nash sweet potato hash with Brussels sprouts on top, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, colorful, and just as good as it looks. I also had an iced matcha latte, and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had!
Our server Derek made the whole visit even better. He was warm, attentive, and had great recommendations. If you want excellent service and a friendly guide through the menu, definitely ask for Derek.
The outdoor seating is beautiful — lots of trees, shade, and a calm, relaxing vibe that makes the whole meal feel even better. I’ll absolutely be back the next time I’m in Houston. A must-try spot!
First visit to this place while in Houston for work. I didn't realize the menu focused on vegetarian dishes, which made it more interesting. The wonderful super busy server was Mya. We ate what she recommended: boudain sushi, gumbo, and purple rain drinks. The serving portions were more than plentiful! Will definitely go back. I would advise the outdoor seating - beautiful vibes.
