Have been going here since 2016 and I've seen it grow from a shack to a full blown pavilion with doors and space for heaters. The graffiti has been kept and is not quite family friendly :). It's still one of the most affordable, unique hot dog places in town. The Southern Caviar is a great sharable appetizer that normally comes with 6-10 toast bites and very generous servings of cheese. A taco is large enough for 4-5 big bites and can be shared among two people as an appetizer. One hot dog with this combo works very well, or two hot dogs with no appetizers if you have a real appetite. Highly recommend chef's choice of toppings (honestly can't go wrong with any meat but I'm partial to the duck, lamb, and elk. I usually do chef's choice toppings, with sauerkraut) and the cheese from the southern caviar helps finish the pretzel bun if you have some left over after eating the hot dog.

Dietary restrictions: Pretty nut allergy friendly, at least with the tacos and hot dogs. Some beers may have peanut butter notes.

I recently checked out this craft brewery, and let me tell you—it’s not just about the beer here; the burgers are next-level! The brewery offers a wide range of craft beers, from IPAs to stouts, each with unique flavors that cater to every type of beer lover.

But the real surprise was the burgers. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, they pair incredibly well with the beers. I tried the Cajun Bazooka - it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Even the buns were amazing, soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together.

The vibe in the brewery was casual and inviting, with friendly staff who clearly know their stuff. If you’re a fan of great beer and even better burgers, this is a spot you definitely need to add to your list!

The only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere and beer. I came here two weeks in a row for the Friday special, steak sandwich. This sandwich is delicious, only complaint is it is large pieces of steak which makes it a little difficult to eat. Today, when I ordered I requested that they give my steak an extra cut so I could handle it easier. The guy taking my order said "I'm not sure but I'll see" ....the sandwich comes out as usual with huge thick slices of ribeye. Again, delicious, however I had to request an extra plate to cut my steak on with a plastic knife, then re-assemble my entire sandwich. This would be completely understandable if they were packed, but there was only 1 other patron.

I'm leaving 2 stars because of these guys inability to accommodate a simple request. Coming from the restaurant industry myself this was a let down because at least trying to provide good customer service should be a given. Also, I do not recommend their pimento cheese or boudain appetizer. The flavors are OFF and not normal for these dishes. Not sure whose recipes these are, but if it's the same person who refuses to slice a steak at an addition angle, then that would make sense.

Delicious food. Extensive beer selection. Fun, laid back, welcoming atmosphere. The hot dogs and burgers are iconic, but if you’re vegetarian, the Nirvana tacos and Bob burger are as good a veggie meal as you’ll find anywhere. MTI is an institution of the East End
