Maybe it is because it was a Monday.... Everything seemed a little bit off. The food was not at the high level we have had before. Watermelon Salad tasted like they had made it a few days ago. Service was a bit slow and unengaged. I can't even say it was because they were busy. They really weren't. It was not terrible but not what you have come to expect from this high caliber place.
Tried this place for Houston Restaurants week menu. I will say that I tried to look this place up online first -- and found Peska Cocina Latina on yelp. In addition, there were printed reviews inside the restaurant for Peska Seafood Culture. Not sure why so many name changes? Food was okay. Was there primarily to try out the seafood. The cheeseburger basket is a MUST!! I think possibly one of the BEST homemade cheeseburger in Acres Homes!! The service was just GREAT!!The kitchen was extremely clean and the presentation package I LOVED!! I was given a sample of the cornbread dressing which absolutely blew my socks off!! Ohh and they also have soul food as well as desserts cakes &tea cakes that made my mouth water for more!!I was there 2Days in row and yes I will be back!!
