Food is traditional and can get in a “curry in a hurry” anywhere. The good news is, you can order delivery and the door dash will walk by patrons to grab the food. Also, can show up in shorts and flip flops.

Dined at 5:15pm on a Friday evening. Greeting at hostess station was very impersonal. We were seated in a beautiful tile room and had a wonderful server, Mark. The night started off with a nice Gin & Tonic before we ordered. We ordered the tasting menu along with the Barrah Kebab add on. The first three courses came out together and quickly. All were delicious. We were still finishing our G & T, so we ordered a bottle of Sancerre that had to be chilled table side. Not sure why white wine would not be refrigerated but it worked out ok. Mark continued to serve us well, explain the menu and deliver the courses reasonably paced. After the sorbet we noticed Mark was not around as much because the restaurant was becoming full. The next three courses took 20 minutes each to be served. After Mark came to tell us they were working on the Malabari Fish Curry, for the second time we asked to speak to a manager. The manager came over and asked us to let him see what was happening in the kitchen. This is now an hour since the sorbet. He then came back with the curry. The curry was delicious but the Sea bass was under cooked. We both decided not to say anything as we were frustrated at this point although this was the main course and probably the most expensive course. Once the curry was delivered, Mark arrived with a glass of Chardonnay for both of us as a gesture of apology. We then had dessert delivered with a glass of champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary. A nice gesture, but still not addressing the delay in the food. We finally left the restaurant at 8:15 pm with great disappointment for a Michelin star restaurant at a high price. We have eaten at many Michelin star restaurants around the world and this was the worst one we have been to. Definitely needs some work or possibly no tasting menu when the restaurant is busy and the kitchen can't keep up.

Excellent food quality and presentation, noise level slightly higher and lighting but too dim but not really an issue. Staff is well trained and courteous. Love to dine here and always utilize the opportunity for any special occasions. Proud to have a Michelin Star restaurant in our very own Houston.

Exceptional service and fantastic food. Our server Mark made the meal a great experience with his detailed knowledge and explanations of all the food and the history behind it. One of our party tried the sampling menu which was one of the best meals we've ever had. Atmosphere was also superb. Definitely will make this a regular on our restaurant list. Couldn't have been better.

The decorations are beautiful, the staff are very attentive, and the food is delicious! Highly recommend the barrah kebab, Mithu's coriander shrimp, butter chicken experience, laal maas and the baingan bharta.
