Incredible experience! I was in town visiting Houston from Los Angeles when I came across Navy Blue and decided to stop in for a pre-dinner drink. One drink very quickly turned into a full dinner as we were enthralled with the menu and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The delightful bartender Carlos made perfect, crisp martinis and suggested ~5 things off the menu that were all delicious. As a caesar salad connoisseur, I strongly believe they have one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had. The blue fin tuna crudo, oysters, crab cake, katafai wrapped shrimp, risotto and mahi mahi dip were all 10/10. The biscuits are also to die for, just wow! Everything was truly delectable! Aside from the food, the service was impeccable. The manager Greg is incredibly knowledgeable on not only everything Navy Blue, but restaurant culture and culinary history as a whole. Really got us intrigued to try out their other establishments. The experience was so great that we returned again the very next day for lunch with my parents and Milton was on top of everything from the moment we walked in and truly made it a top tier experience. He and our server Terrell were so attentive, engaging and thoughtful (also very funny!) Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough and will be frequenting it whenever I’m in town. It’s perfect for both lunch and dinner so if you’re trying to decide on a place to go, this is the best option. 10’s across the board for ambiance, decor, food and service! You won’t be disappointed!

My friend and I came to Navy Blue for lunch to celebrate my birthday recently. We were so impressed by how gracious and attentive everyone was. From the moment we were greeted at the door to the dessert, we felt special and well cared for. I tried the HRW Lunch special and it did not disappoint.

Navy Blue is a wonderful hidden gem nestled in a corner of Rice Village. I felt so special dining here and look forward to the next time we visit. I would highly recommend visiting Navy Blue for HRW, for a date night, or for any special occasion.

This is a restaurant I can't actually afford, so I go once a year to get just a lobster roll and enjoy it immensely. Tonight I went there on an impulse, because it had been over a year since my last one and I'd just had an extremely terrible and emotionally upsetting weekend and wanted to treat myself. I checked the dinner menu online first, but at the restaurant I found out the lobster roll is now only on the lunch menu. I was going to leave, but the server went back and asked the kitchen to make it for me anyway even though it wasn't prepped, and they did. After I finished and asked for the check, they brought me a little dessert for free, unprompted. Thanks to the Navy Blue staff for being kind to me for no reason at a moment when it really meant a lot to me.

These guys do it right every time. Navy Blue is such a classy establishment, but always feels comfortable and casual. Service is attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. Perfect oysters, amazing biscuits, one of the best fresh truffle over pasta dishes I’ve had, and the Dover sole was extraordinary. They live up to the prices. Dive in!

I went with my handicapped sister, I had warned them ahead of time about her condition. We had the perfect table for her.
But on top of that, it was a beautiful restaurant, and the food was excellent.
Plus, I thought it was a bargain price-wise. :-)
I have paid twice as much for similar fresh seafood-based meals in Houston, but with not such a beautiful dining experience.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Navy Blue. The restaurant has great service and a comfortable, upscale atmosphere. I was impressed with the quality of the menu overall, as well as the scotch options (my drink of choice). The burger deserves the reputation it has - awesome! GM Greg is running an fantastic operation. Highly recommended.
