This place is one of my local favorites. The beer is always cold and the food is always fresh and hot. The Quesadillas are so amazingly good. The tortillas are so buttery. Mary is always our waitress, she already knows our drink order and for the most part she knows our food order. Support small local businesses. You can’t go wrong eating here.

No complaints, exceeded my expectations. My expectations are usually pretty low for Tex Mex places in general though. They weren't stingy though and our simple quesadilla with beef was very good, a lot of meat.

I went on a weekend for dinner. Shocked at the menu prices ($18-$24) but then when the service was excellent - drink was always filled before running out, chips and salsa refilled too w/o asking for more, the meal was high quality made and presented (not microwaved) and HUGE proportions = leftovers to take home. You get what you pay for and more! I was very pleased and impressed. Another time I went during their weekly lunch specials and the service was just as great and the smaller portions are perfect for the lower price lunch specials. If you crave non-texmex-taste freshly made food, I highly recommend Papagayos behind BK on Scarsdale for budget friendly lunch specials with high end quality or splurge a little more for dinner and be wowed like I was. Amazing staff from front to back.

We are disappointed that after over a decade of Papagayo’s being one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, we likely ate our last meal there. The prices have gotten crazy expensive, especially for the area. The worst part is they charge $4.50 for green sauce, something most other Mexican restaurants give you for free. Also, $17 for a quesadilla? Nope. The search begins for our new favorite. We are very sad.

How is this a “Mexican restaurant” but the beef fajita has absolute no seasoning? I seen a roach crawling under the table next to mine close to the end of my visit here. My waitress didn’t really do much I had to get her attention to get a refill. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this place.

So everything we ordered came out wrong. The waitress was rude and abrupt. The food that did come out was gross. We will never return and highly advise you don't waste your time and money eating here either. To top it off everything is exceedingly over priced. Severely disappointing.
