Unfortunately this is where it's come for Pei Wei, a once beloved fast-casual restaurant that's been mostly forgotten about due to mismanagement and poor food execution. I decided to give this location a try on a Tuesday night. It was mostly barren in the restaurant when I walked in at 6:30pm, which was a sign of things to come. Fortunately, ordering and service was quick, since no one was there before us. We ordered, and walked across the sticky, dirty floors to the back to get our drinks and utensils. Trash was scattered around the utensil area, there were no forks in the bin, and then we had to freak back across the filthy floors to find a table. Multiple tables still had food and dirty plates on them, which was weird to me since hardly anyone was in the restaurant. We received our food pretty quickly, and received four egg rolls stacked on top a pile of grease. They were literally soaked in grease. The ginger broccoli steak was drenched in ginger sauce. To the point that it was essentially a soup. The broccoli was undercooked and the steak was chewy. We received our edamame and it was literally straight out of whatever bag they use in the refrigerator. It was cold. What a shame. This was one of my go-to spots in college and it's turned into a really poorly managed spot that desperately needs a white in shining armor to save it from its inevitable closure.

Wife and I dined in for early lunch (11:48 a.m.) anticipating fresh food in a clean environment and had the worst experience! Although we did think it strange that there were only 4 other diners in the restaurant for a Saturday we assumed we were just before the lunch rush. We later understood why there were so few patrons. After ordering our food we went to make our drinks and sit down and noticed the filthy condition of the restaurant when it should be very clean, especially to begin the day of business. The floor was visibly dirty and sticky with every step! It took three attempts to find a booth that did not have any food crumbs on the seats. Regardless the food came quick with our Vietnamese chicken rolls being placed before us along with the sauces. Our first bite with peanut sauce caused us to react with disgust, spitting out our food as the peanut sauce was soured and tasted like vomit. We immediately informed the hostess who also served us, Andrea, who look astonished and took the sauce away. However she now left us there with no peanut sauce and partially spit out rolls. She didn't apologize nor offer to replace the peanut sauce or the rolls but instead followed up with our entree. We cautiously ate on it now with tainted taste buds and slight nausea thinking that we will surely get a visit from a member of management to discuss the situation. It never happened despite our seeing staff continue to walk by and occasionally even glance over. Much to our dismay we finished our entree and asked to speak to the manager prior to leaving. She, Susan, came out and we proceeded to make her aware of all of the issues. She had nothing to say except I'm sorry and offer an assurance that they did mop the floor this morning. That was obvious from all the streaks and dirt left from the dirty mop water and we then continued to squeak with every sticky step the rest of the way out. I wish we would have looked at the reviews before going as we would have found out these issues have all been listed by others and brought to the attention of management who obviously doesn't care. So sad! After doing more research I see that these are common conditions causing low ratings at other locattions and that Pei Wei restaurants are closing everywhere. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the problem is much bigger. So long Pei Wei, it was good while it lasted.

Food did not taste fresh. Got honey seared shrimp and it was just old and serving was so small. Also got Mongolian beef and that serving was very small as well. Normally love other pei wei locations but this location seems to be lacking in the food category

The food here is good & all but it takes entirely too long to get your food. They are always wayyyy understaffed with the cashier tripling as the food runner, checking out orders and putting together to go orders. There is always only 2 cooks on staff at the peak of lunch hour. It should take 45 minutes to get two plates.. had to get both to go.

My experience echos several others posted over the last few months which means management is aware of the issues and apparently doesn't care or they would not keep having the exact same problems. I put in a to-go order on the app. It said it would be ready at 6:26. It was not ready until 6:50 and in the meantime, they turned away about 10 large groups of customers who came in the door telling them the food would take 45 minutes to prepare because they only had one cook. I could have forgiven this, things happen. However, the sesame chicken was like chewing a piece of shoe leather. I didn't know you could do this to chicken. The chicken salad rolls fell completely apart. I also heard them tell people they were out of multiple menu items. It was very uncomfortable to sit and watch group after group get upset and leave. I should have taken the cue and canceled my order and asked for my money back but I was starving. The restaurant was also a mess and there was only ice in one machine. The girl in the front handled things well considering the situation, I felt sorry for her as it was not her fault but she had to deal with all the upset customers.

The food was not that great. The califlower bowl was extremely bland. The Asian Chopped Chicken Salad was poorly executed and was cross contaminated with mint. The bowl that our food was served in was visibly dirty just like the restaurant. We were there for about 45 minutes and the tables were never cleared as people left. The restaurant was not busy at all. Some tables were dirty upon our arrival and remained dirty when we finished. The floors were sticky as well. We used to enjoy this place, but unsure if we will return.

I have recently moved to the area, I usually LOVE Pei Wei. I have been to countless locations all over Houston. This location though... the food is not okay. Not sure if this is a one time thing or their usual. I got the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Tasted like burnt oil. The rice mainly but the chicken has its pieces too. It will be a little bit before I walk in their doors again, for food to taste like this and the soda machines to be running on only carbonation, no syrup.. I wont be returning soon.

This is probably my favorite place to go to! I'm completely obsessed with their crab wontons! 10/10. Place is clean, staff is very friendly, and the food is always delicious! I order lunch from this location very often and I've never had an issue!

Absolutely garbage, took so much of my time just waiting for the food and most of it is not even cooked enough. We can see them just standing around talking and not making the food? Took about 1hr just to get 3 meals? Doesn't make sense, wouldn't recommend.

Food was pretty good until I found a hair in it. Drink stations broken. Carbonation in the other was gross.

The manager should make sure if the order is shrimp then shrimp must be served and not camouflaged with chicken.

Ok, I'm highly disappointed with Pei Wei. I'm new to the area, decided to have dinner here. The staff was very nice the place was kinda clean. The coke machine was not working properly, one of them was out of ice. So for the food. We split a sushi plate and Tofu Chow Mein which were terrible. The sushi was stale and bland, the rice was hard and crispy. Since when is Sushi rice hard and crispy. Overall an unpleasant experience. Only good outcome was the froyo next door at YogurtLand!

This was a local favorite of ours until the last 6 months. Both food quality and service has abruptly gone downhill. Last visit I received my food 10 minutes before my wife got hers and the order was wrong. This was the third strike. I don't think even a return of the blazing Bangkok noodles will get her back in.
