I’ve tried Vietnamese pho all over the U.S., but this place has always been my number one. I highly recommend it every time! This trip back to Houston, I made sure to stop by. Even though the location has changed, the flavor remains the same. I love it!

This place is disgusting!!! My brother and I came to get some pho and banh mi and saw one of the employees combine all the left over rice from the red pots they use from a table that had just left and paid. He then proceeds to put it BACK INTO THEIR RICE-POT COOKER and mixes it back in! He even kept looking around to see if anyone had seen him!! PLEASE AVOID IF YOU’RE NOT TRYING TO SHARE SPIT WITH THE TABLE NEXT TO YOU!!! The Health Department should be called!!
passed by today to do a pickup but the place is closed? there was some construction going on, are you guys renovating?

My sister and I were craving some late night pho in Bellaire so we decided to give Pho Ngon a try (this spot is open until 11 pm)! The inside is very clean with lots of seating and had nice decorations. And I'm happy to say that the bathrooms were also very clean!
My sister and I ate before this so we decided to share a large bowl of pho and ban xeo. The pho broth runs a little more on the sweet side but it was enjoyable nonetheless. The quality of meat was also good! As for the ban xeo, it was gigantic! The exterior was crispy and the inside was stuffed with bean sprouts and an decent amount of pork and squid. And with the lettuce, mint, basil leaf, and fish sauce, every bite was amazing!
In terms of the service, English is limited because all the workers here are Vietnamese but they were all very welcoming and kind. Pho in Bellaire Chinatown is very competitive so I can't say that this is the best pho I've ever had but I enjoyed the pho and ban xeo here and am looking forward to trying out other dishes at Pho Ngon!

Today 11-09-2024 drove down Bellaire Blvd. First time try the new Pho Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine. Never try the old place. I ordered broken nice and pork chop. I lived an hour away. Got home, found out the nice not the (broken rice type) and the pork chop looked more like a thin pieces of pork. No vietnamese fish sauce in there. Good thing I got some at home. When took a bite at one of the pork meat. My teeth could not even tear the meat apart. it was somewhat weird hard. Don't know if was over cooked or undercooked. Just weird. Waste 2 pieces of meat cannot eat. The restaurant name Pho Ngon (delicious Pho), but the foods was not that good like the name represent. Too me if one of the main dish not good, the rest same thing. Feel like been ripped off here. Lost my $11.90. And I took 2 of the menu to go, was trying to share with my family. In the trash now. Should not be any star.

My favorite Vietnamese food restaurant!

Food was 9/10, service was 0/10. Water never got refilled, no waiters came by to check on us or when we had other needs, kitchen only made 6/8 of our dishes and then there was a 45 minute gap until the last 2 dishes, which we took to go at that point. Absolutely abysmal. I loved the food but won’t come back due to the abhorrent service. This is for the new location, which is a few hundred feet more interior in the same plaza. Old location was much more timely and efficient.

I liked their huge fried egg pancake (comes with seafood in it but I opted out of that). I don't know what its called on the menu but its good and comes with lettuce to wrap it in. Got some ginger candies too and some type of sweet dessert at their counter wrapped in a banana leaf. Tasted like rice mochi.

1- This restaurant transferred to the building behind the old one location(which I’ve been coming to the old one for years because of the fast service and food!)
2- The food and drinks still taste great! From pho, banh mi, rice plates, fresh drinks.
3- The place inside it cute!
4- Waiters/waitress take forever to cater to you. Even when it’s not packed(been here three times already and each time long wait)
5- The food takes forever to be served
6- They either forget your drinks or forget your food(they forgot to bring a banh mi sandwich after an hour of sitting there with family/friends eating pho&appetizers.
7- They don’t come to you if you need anything else/check on you.
8- Would I go back? Maybe.. if I don’t have anything else to do and don’t mind waiting for a LONG time.
9- The staff needs more training on timing and serving to customers.
10- The old staff from the old location were always quick and ready to serve and even start with drinks the moment you sit down!

I had to wait 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches and 1 fried rice to go with hardly 7 customers in the restaurant? I hope the food is not as bad as the service is.
