Desseire is a local small independent bakery in the Bellaire/Chinatown area. The desserts are as good as it gets, with a wonderful fusion of French pastry techniques and Asian-inspired flavors. Everything is light, fresh, and visually stunning. The desserts cater towards a Vietnamese/Asian palette, being mildly sweet. Popular items include the strawberry tiramisu, canneles, matcha choux, cream puffs, banh da lon, and brown sugar banh bo. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, and relaxed, though the place is small and not really a place to sit. The staff is friendly. This is a perfect spot for a quiet sweet treat or high-quality pastries that aren't overly heavy.
