Pinto Thai Restaurant

I frequent this restaurant during lunch for the most part with an occasional evening visit. The ingredients are remarkably fresh. At lunch, a salad, soup and spring roll is served first, followed by the main course. Phenomenal value considering a burger and fries will cost more down the street.

I particularly like that each time I order, there is variation in the soup. They are all excellent. Service is swift and pleasant. These are very nice, humble folks as are their customers. I need to explore the menu a bit deeper, but have found the dishes I really like in the 3 years I have been a customer. Next time, I am going to crank up the heat just for fun.

As I tell friends, one of the highest value meals you can buy.

Great Thai restaurant with really good food and service. The servings are big also. I ordered to go a beef red curry, Thai tea and mango with coconut rice desert. All delicious. They are offering 20% discount for dine-in during weekdays.

Just an ordinary and mediocre Thai restaurant.
Green Curry: The green curry was a good dish but the texture was non existent, very little bamboo or peppers.
Papaya Salad: The string beans included in this dish tasted as if they were freshly washed but otherwise a low effect papaya salad

I wasn’t too happy with the lunch special “soup and salad” because the salad was just a wee bit of iceberg lettuce and mini carrot slivers. And the soup was just a teeny bowl of liquid; basically the size of some sauce. Oh and one egg roll. Also the Pad Thai included tofu or vegetables, but not both! If you want veggies in your pad Thai add another $3. I mean we weren’t getting shrimp or meat, so cmon.

Passion fruit tea served in a glass tea kettle was a nice surprise. Papaya salad had just the right mix of sweet and spicy. The service was excellent!

Inconsistent. I order from Pinto Thai quite frequently as I am close by for work. Lunch plates used to be a good value for your money but in the last few years I have seen the portions reduced and reduced to the point where I'm not sure it would satisfy a younger child. Order dinner portions if you want more food - it will at least be adequate for what you're paying for. Orange Chicken is hit or miss and the orange sauce has definitely gotten more watery as time has gone on. Fried rice is good. They'll upcharge you for anything that they can or if you want a substitute for something you've ordered with your meal. As long as the food quality doesn't go down it's an alright choice for Thai, just not worth it for the lunch portions anymore.

Pinto thai has been my go-to Thai restaurant in the area for years. I eat here for large portions, friendly service, and consistently tasty Thai food.

The spice level is generally lower than what's typical for Thai restaurants so don't be shy.
