Pizaro's Pizza Napoletana

Pizaro's definitely lived up to the hype. We tried both the New York-style and Detroit-style pizzas, and they were both outstanding. The sauce on the New York-style pizza was some of the best I've ever had, and everything tasted incredibly fresh.

The Detroit-style pizza had an amazing crispy crunch on the outside while staying soft inside. If you're a ranch lover, don't skip it here—their ranch is thick, creamy, and packed with flavor.

Overall, it was a great experience. My whole family loved it, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. We'll definitely be coming back!

Deceptive trade practice: management adds a 3% surcharge as you are making payment. No mention of the 3% in the menu, in the initial calculations, just a note on the credit card reader. Cash is not accepted, so the only way to do business is to pay the fee. Very deceptive, disrespectful and dishonest. Advertise the real price of the menu items, don't add extraneous fees at the end. Pizza was not cheap. Detroit pizza had the thickest bread that I've ever seen. Light on the toppings. Servers were nice, but it is counter service...

This was our first time trying this pizza. After ordering pizza and paying a tip, we were charged a 3% surcharge on our 2 pizza dine in order. This is a counter service business. We asked if we could pay cash and get around the surcharge but they don’t accept cash. The receipt calls the upcharge a tech fee. No where on the menu says there is an upcharge. There is no sign in the business stating there is an extra cost. This is a bad business practice. The pizzas were not the best we have had and I see no need to pay hidden fees so we won’t be back. The Detroit pizza had way too much dough. There are much better pizza choices elsewhere.

This pizza restaurant is a hidden gem! I’m amazed it’s not bustling with lunch crowds. The margherita discounts make it worth even more for lunch, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pizza is undoubtedly one of the best in Houston, offering a quality that far surpasses typical chain options. If you’re a true pizza lover, this is the place to be!

This is a favorite pizza restaurant in Houston so far! It’s our “go to” if craving pizza. Neapolitan & New York styles are exceptional. Fresh ingredients!

I had been wanting to come for the Detroit style pizza for a while and was not disappointed! We ordered the 8 mile detroit style and added onions, bell peppers and crimini mushrooms, and we had the dumbo new york style. So delicious!!

They charged me $10 for 2 toppings on half a pizza. They charge the same for toppings whether it’s on half a pizza or the full pizza. Greedy to say the least!

Reply to their response: I appreciate the explanation, but that’s exactly the issue. When someone orders toppings on half a pizza, they’re not asking for a full pizza’s worth of toppings crammed onto half the pizza. That doesn’t add value, it just throws off the balance of the pizza. Most people want toppings on half, not double toppings on half. Charging full price for that still doesn’t make much sense.

Love casual well run super great 00 flour pizza. The ingredients could not be fresher or tastier. Either stay away so it doesn't get crowded or come often so he can get a bigger place. One of Houstons best kept secrets but only if you truly appreciate quality and highly professional restaurants. Im a fan.
