Nice little hole in the wall. We've made this our spot the last several weeks in a row. Great oysters and fried sea food. We tried the Mexican side tonight and we'll end up sticking with the fish going forward. The service is always good and friendly. Nice little quiet spot to get good food and drinks

I went to Playa Azul and Oyster Bar , Jones Rd., for dinner with my husband and daughter last night. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was good. My husband had the seafood soup which he enjoyed. I on the other hand, had 2 fried fish filets with fries and Spanish rice. Not only were they small but the fish inside was so slender that when biting it all I could taste was 98% coating with 2% fish. When I spoke to the "manager" she was taken aback when I questioned it. She reluctantly had the kitchen cook me an additional fish filet. It was slightly improved but not by much. I'm sorry but I consider this to be a total rip off. I will not be returning. Terrible customer service by manager.

Service was good. Gumbo was good but not the rest of the food. They also add a fee for paying with a card instead of cash. Sorry, not going back

The seafood soup really has no flavor at all, 3 shrimp, 1 piece of fillet, 1 potato, 1 carrot, but a lot of cilantro leaves,
The gumbo is the best

The food is good but it is expensive. My son ordered takeout by phone and I went to pick it up when we arrived at the destination. We did the checks and they had charged us 8 dollars more. It seems that the cashier gave her tip without asking me for details like this. I would not return. To go, if you go, check your ticket carefully, ask for prices and clarify your doubts before leaving the place.
And I clarify whenever we go somewhere and consume there we leave a tip.

They didn't take away our dirty plates until we were leaving, the prices are good but the breading lacks seasoning, it doesn't taste like anything, no matter how much I added sauce or mayonnaise, it didn't taste like anything, the preparation of the food left me disappointed

what a treasure to find so close to our house. we had the seafood gumbo and it is the best in Houston. Love the way they cook the fried shrimp. the shrimp are butterflied to ensure even cooking. Also had the ceviche and it was very fresh.
