I ordered the lamb chops and they were seasoned and cooked to perfection! The Chai tea was superb. My son had the duck domas and they were spectacular with the tamarind sauce. Waffles were also great with the hand squeezed fresh OJ. The mocha latte was also great!

Very overpriced for what you get. Not flavourful enough and small amounts. I also got upset stomach after it. Not returning.

Visited Pondicheri in Houston and really enjoyed the food. The fresh orange juice was refreshing, the lamb seekh kebab was cooked perfectly, and the naan with butter chicken hit the spot. Ended the meal with pistachio kulfi, which was a good choice. Ordering is simple, you place your order at the front and they bring the food to your table. Overall, a pleasant dining experience!

The biggest issue with this restaurant wasn’t the food, it was the service — or rather, the lack of it. After our meals were served, no one bothered to check on us again. No follow-up to see if we needed anything, no refills, nothing. We felt completely forgotten.

When we finally asked for the check, it took an unreasonably long time to arrive. Even after placing our card down, the bill just sat there untouched for nearly 20 minutes while staff walked past without acknowledging it. What should have been a quick and simple process turned into an exercise in frustration.

It’s disappointing when the last impression of a meal is waiting endlessly just to pay and leave. Service needs serious improvement here — I won’t be in a rush to come back.

👍🏽 for a relaxed weekend brunch; has some amazing Thali options.

I was dissatisfied with the portions vs the price of the food!! When you pay certain amount of money you expect to get similar service in return! The portion was like it was for a small kid!!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The owner only buys the freshest ingredients and you can taste that in the dishes. My favorite items are the breakfast almond roti frankie, saag curry, saag samosa, butter chicken, avocado toast, THE OKRA (when in season), the pastry’s: rose cake, pav bhaji and last but not least the drinks. Juices from the bake lab are a must, plus, the cocktails downstairs. She also provides cooking mixes, cookbook, masalas, hair oil…. Pondi is the best modern Indian restaurant.

My wife and I met a couple of friends here for what is always an amazing dinner. Expect flavorful bites of modern Indian cuisine paired with jazzed up drinks. The highlight was the pumpkin seed and honeycomb ice cream at the end of an overall delicious meal.

Bebinca is hands down the best cake in Houston. It’s rich in flavor, beautifully crafted, and an indulgence worth savoring again and again.

Always something new to try. This isn’t your typical Indian restaurant. It is a new take on classics. Example: Pani puri with pomegranate juice, it’s awesome! Don’t forget to try the juices and refreshing drinks and the sweets. I love ginger so had to get the ginger drink. Try Sindhi laddoos, amazing!

Pondicheri has a very authentic feel, especially with their expansive vegetarian options. The service and ambiance is great.

The food was good too. Just would not recommend if you are a spicy fiend like me!

TERRIBLE. I ordered the Saag, garlic naan, samosa and dal. It was poorly seasoned and bland. I don’t understand how they prepared samosa and dal without a modicum of salt.

If you crave authentic Indian food, this is NOT the place for you. I wish I could mention atleast one redeeming dish but ALL were bad. Please don’t make the mistake I made. I’m not sure if they sent me subpar food because I ordered in? I was shocked given such glowing reviews otherwise.

Also for a description that says ‘dishes inspired by the streets of Mumbai’, I’m sorry, you’ve disappointed a Mumbaikar. Please don’t disgrace my hometown by serving bland food. I really hope you reflect and think about what you serve as ‘Indian food’. Please do a taste tests, I don’t understand how a high quality restaurant could not get basic seasoning right.
