Visited Pondicheri in Houston and really enjoyed the food. The fresh orange juice was refreshing, the lamb seekh kebab was cooked perfectly, and the naan with butter chicken hit the spot. Ended the meal with pistachio kulfi, which was a good choice. Ordering is simple, you place your order at the front and they bring the food to your table. Overall, a pleasant dining experience!
I was dissatisfied with the portions vs the price of the food!! When you pay certain amount of money you expect to get similar service in return! The portion was like it was for a small kid!!
I absolutely love this restaurant. The owner only buys the freshest ingredients and you can taste that in the dishes. My favorite items are the breakfast almond roti frankie, saag curry, saag samosa, butter chicken, avocado toast, THE OKRA (when in season), the pastry’s: rose cake, pav bhaji and last but not least the drinks. Juices from the bake lab are a must, plus, the cocktails downstairs. She also provides cooking mixes, cookbook, masalas, hair oil…. Pondi is the best...
