Popston has amazing Gelato. What's really cool are the popsicles hence the name. Some fantastic flavors like biscotti, passion fruit mango and guava, Ferreo Roche hazelnut, yummmmmy. Support local!!
This place is a gem! They have everything. Paletas and ice cream, both classic and new flavors.
The service is great and the prices are unbeatable.
Best flavors. All homemade, great guy who owns it. Very friendly and personable. This place easily has the potential to become a h-town icon
The prices are a bit high for the size of the popsicle, however they are very yummy.
I can see the price being high for the experience but the shop is also lacking in vision atleast for it’s location, it’s too simple & underwhelming when you walk into the shop
We found this little spot when we came back to the area to visit family. Love this place!! They have a variety of flavors to choose from. The man serving us was very kind and helpful! Ice cream was a 10 out of 10!! Must try. 💕
Taste like homemade ice cream. It’s made fresh daily. The taste testifies.
Amazing flavors
POPSTON’s quality of product and diversity of flavors is unmatched. You simply aren’t going to find better paletas, gelato, or other frozen treats in Houston - maybe not even in all of Texas. Owned and operated by a stand-up guy and huge supporter of the community, you NEED to make POPSTON’s your go-to dessert spot. Highly recommend the Strawberry Jam with Frosted Animal Crackers flavor - it’s unmatched. Good thing it comes in a pint.
I wanted ice cream, and I also wanted something sweet, light and refreshing on an 87° April day in Houston. So, I found Popston on Google maps and decided to give it a try. Arrived and had a chat with the owner and settled on a fruit popsicle, the multiflavored best seller for the last two years. I enjoyed the flavor and the freshness. Sad, it was over so soon. I'm also pleased they had dairy & nondairy (fruit) options.
A great first date spot with seating outside (a small rustic wooden picnic bench) and two bright yellow (chrome) metal tables w chairs.
It was the refreshing dessert I didn't know I needed, but wanted more of. While my popsicle reminded me of the red, white and blue bomb popsicles we all grew up on, this on wasn't as sugary sweet as that one, definitely smaller, but artisan crafted. So, I highly recommend Popston as a dessert date spot. They also have a 10-pack for families for $15. Great healthy sweetness for Houston blazing summers.
We just happened to drive down Harrisburg on the way to the taqueria and saw this place and decided to come back later for dessert. We're so glad we did. My friend tried the Mexican Banana Foster and I tried the Toasted Marshmallow. Both items were fantastic. The Toasted Marshmallow was not too sweet. It had a subtle hint of marshmallow, but the flavor was delicious.
This is a nice shop with plenty of unique flavors. I plan to return in the future.

Went here cause they had a limited release on an Astros cap, got a coconut popsicle. Pretty good with a decent amount of coconut shavings, from what I saw they had a decent variety of flavors and they also very friendly.
