Tried the Indonesian menu (first time really trying Indonesian food) and everything was excellent! Beef rendang, Nasi goreng, chicken satay, telur eggs, and green beans were more than enough to fill up four of us. Definitely was a great first experience with Indonesian food and I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more off the menu

The staff is very friendly and the place is kept clean, though the atmosphere feels more like a takeout spot than a cozy sit-down restaurant. Portions are generous, but the prices are a bit on the higher side. For the Indonesian food, the menu isn’t actually displayed, so you have to ask for it. The Nasi Goreng was pretty good after adding a bit of salt to enhance the flavors—but the pangsit goreng (fried wontons) were just 'okay,' and the Empal Sapi was a bit drier than I expected. Also, they serve Chinese-style chili oil/flakes rather than a traditional sambal. It’s a decent spot for a quick, filling meal, or a takeout!

My daughter had the unfortunate experience where there was metal in the rice. Want to try this place again but unsure.
The food is good, the people are usually friendly but, this night it was unpleasant for cutting the lights off on us while we were hurrying to finish our food. It was fun while it lasted but, we may just take our money elsewhere, I believe that was rude. I understand she wanted to go home and the other workers. I do but, that was uncalled for.

On Saturday 3/28 I came in and ordered the egg foo young to go. It was my first time coming to this restaurant in years! They were overall pretty nice but when I left I was placing the food in my car when the brown sauce that goes with the food spilled over my had. It was so hot that I sustained a burn as well as cuts to my left hand. I called the restaurant 4 times. Finally got an answer and was told they are sorry. I told them that they should advise customers when something is extremely hot. Needless to say I will not be coming here in the future.

I went here today Sunday 3/22/2026 and the service & food wasnt the best. Usually, I stop by in the evenings during the week & the older lady thats there on weekdays is always so kind & food is hot n fresh. Today it wasnt the same & they didnt even fill my large rice container or my family size orange chicken.I usually feed my family of 3 with my order but not today. PLUS , I think I was over charged.Im done with Rice Bowl on Bellaire- Mission Bend). I will have to find me a different Chinese take out place in this area.
