Do they care about their customers? Or are they there to look pretty and giggle with each other? I walked out.

Rustika did a beautiful job with a king cake (plus custom message). First of all, it was MASSIVE. For the price (which was more competitive than much smaller cakes elsewhere), I was expecting something tiny. The person to whom I delivered it also said it was the best king cake they've ever had (and we used to live in New Orleans). The delivery was also seamless. The delivery person made sure to call when they were on the way. They were pretty much on time. All around, A+ experience.I don't live in Houston, but if I did, Rustika would be my go-to.

Been here a few times now over the last few months and every time the service has been terrible. Most recently I was looking at placing an order for a party but after going in there with my friend who wears a hijab and the way we were treated, we'll never be coming back here again.

I've visited Rustika Cafe for some time now and unfortunately the quality has gone down a bit (at least in regards to the cakes) but more importantly the service is not where you'd expect it to be. I called to order a cake and asked what sizes they had and the amount each size would serve, the lady just responds with "just tell me how many people are you trying to feed" (not so friendly voice).... okay.... so i told her 25-30ppl, then she says I would probably be good with the 12", so i ask what the next size up is, she tells me. I ask what size comes after that one, she tells me. Now i'm debating which one to go with, I tell her "lets just go with the first one" I hear her respond with "which one? for 20 people" and i say "no the first one, 25-30" and oh lord does she get all heated, she literally starts raising her voice and you can clearly tell she has an attitude. She put me on hold for about 20-30seconds, i'm assuming she needed to cool off which is good because i was about to hang up and order elsewhere. She then came back on the phone and we finished the order but my God do some people have an attitude.

This place should be better rated. Such a great experience. Nice staff. Free samples. Amazing food.

Got a piece of “pan de muerto” for $16.24 it was almost burnt from underneath. A 16oz piece at HEB is $6.22. I expected much more for that price, including orange zest and orange essence which is typical for this kind of food.

I love this place! It’s clean, spacious, has great food options and great service. Perfect coffee shop that’s not crowded or basic. I love the Latin flavor & the empanadas are amazing ?

Thank you for making my birthday extra special! Cake was delivered via Uber over two hours away. Cake was moist, delicious and perfect!

Authentic Mexican food. I had the Chilaquiles on green sauce, eggs and chicken. It was delicious. I recommend.

Looooooooved my cake from Rustika! The cake was buttercream with banana foster filling…we all thought it was delicious. Will definitely be using them for my future cake orders.

The cake was pretty bad. I ordered it for graduation, picked up the day of. The cake was old. The icing tasted like it was refrigerator for days. So sad, I cut everyone a slice then to taste horrible. Never again.

I placed a cake order for my Mom's birthday and I was having trouble parking when picking it up which was a few minutes before closing. I called and told the lady that answered that I would be inside in a few minutes, I asked her to please wait so I can get the cake just in case I didn't make it to the door on time. Two minutes later, I was at the door and it was locked, all lights turned off and nobody would pick up my call, and this was a few minutes before closing time. I ended up not having a cake for my Mom's birthday dinner and had to rush and get one from Kroger. Thank you, Rustika....I am so frustrated that you close before your official closing time. I will never place an order with this business ever again.

They are not honest. The owner told me to call to issue a refund but every time I call said the manager is not her call next day. I disputed the transaction with the bank. If I can give zero I will do it. I ordered a sandwich and I told her only cheese, tomato, and avocado. I took my order and went to my work. I found the sandwich has an egg. I called them bez I have allergy from egg. She told that what we have and I don't know you have an allergy. I told her I should receive what I asked not what you wanted. She told me will refund me. 2 days later didn't receive my refund. I went to them asking for the manager. She told me he's not her and will call you. Today is the 7th day. No one call me and I didn't receive my refund.I want a refund or I will have a dispute transaction with the bank. I want my money back.

Service was slow. Food was meh. Ordered the breakfast tacos, the strawberries and cream pancakes from the specials menu, and a dish from the specials menu that I don't recall the name and was not expecting when it arrived at the table. The tacos were okay. The pancakes were very dry and dense and did not come with enough syrup. The egg dish smothered in green sauce was bland and had way too much sauce. All of the dishes were overpriced for the lack of quality. We will not be returning. There are far too many good restaurants in Houston.
