Had a great meal at Sal Y Pimienta while in Houston for a night. Was actually craving fish but couldn't resist the piles of meat at this place. Ended up getting the Asado Vacio and an Old Fashioned and it was just so on point. But honestly the service did it for me. I believe my server's name was Miguel, but I could be misremembering. He was also a manager there and we had a great conversation about his ambitions in the industry.
I never get tired of this place. I’ve tried most of the menu, and it’s nearly impossible to choose a favorite. I highly recommend the ceviche, empanadas, and lamb chops as appetizers. All of their steaks and the lamb entrée are exceptional, and the desserts are absolutely scrumptious. Jerry was especially helpful in handling all our inquiries and was very accommodating throughout the process. Santos was also cheerful and a great support on the day of the event.
It was truly a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend this place for special occasions.
