This is hands down the best Salt Grass that exists. It's very unique as it's small interior and wood fired grill. It was once a german steak house before Saltgrass bought it decades ago. They definitely kept a lot of the original restaurants style and everything just tastes better than other Houston locations. The location also has a great party room available and surprisingly ample parking.

This was such a cool spot. I wonder what this building was before it was salt grass. I will say that arrows in the parking lot, showing where the front entrance is, would be helpful to keep people from having to go thru the kitchen to get in. (An employee had us follow her from the back patio)

We had a solid, no frills meal with an attentive server. It was a good choice for our party of 9, especially as we were looking for a steak dinner we could enjoy with the whole family.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a handicapped spot right near the front door, but it is a little tricky to maneuver a wheelchair into the door, and a little tight navigating the restaurant until we reached our table. There are additional handicapped parking spaces in the lot next to Cadillac, but those necessitate crossing Shepherd. There may have been others in an overflow lot on the same side as Saltgrass, but we didn't check. We also did not attempt to use the restroom with the wheelchair user.

Maybe it's just me, but I love a good cozy atmosphere, and this specific location is the perfect size. It feels like you're having dinner in someone's home! The service is great here and they smile through their situations, and seem to have a good team mentality.

Post Xmas dinner with niece and nephew. The plates were cold. Please don't serve hot food on cold dishes. By the time I had the last bite of food it was cold.
Rats on the patio between the front room and the back. Tables need to be bussed promptly to avoid encouraging the critters. They weren't that busy on a Friday night. Maybe half full...
Service was passable. I ordered the shrimp and pasta. The dish was delivered without a pasta spoon.
