The service was kind. I got the shoyu tonkotsu and the taste wasn’t really there for me. It came with woodear, pork belly, and green onions for 13.00+, an egg and all the other accoutrements were extra. The pork belly didn’t seem seasoned.
Spent the morning sightseeing downtown Houston this morning, this ramen shop popped up on my radar in time for lunch. Been craving a nice bowl of ramen, so I ordered the spicy miso tonkatsu ramen and a side of shrimp shumai. The broth was so very flavorful and silky, I drank it from the bowl. I didn’t need to any additional seasonings. I could have this ramen every day!
This place moved last month into the Lyric food court and none of the old atmosphere pictures are correct. The menu on their website is also inaccurate as I assume they had to condense their offerings. Shiro tonkotsu was good, but the unexpected pay to park situation and completely different atmosphere and menu offerings threw me for a loop and really negatively affected my rating. Wish these major changes to the dining experience in the last month were documented better in Google...
