Great and inviting atmosphere, has an industrial vibe. Their decor, art, and paintings give the place more warmth and artsy light fixtures add a bit of modern aesthetic.
Plenty of outlets for those wanting to WFH and/or do some homework. Looks like a popular spot and I’ve heard they get packed quick so come early to secure a spot with an outlet. They also have free WiFi which was fast and reliable.
Didn’t try ano food but did get some coffee. Tried the Rosemel Latte (which comes with rose, cardamom, & caramel syrup) with oatmilk. Subbed the caramel with more rose. Coffee was made well - although I couldn’t really taste the rose flavor even with double shot of the syrup.
Assumed the syrup was at the bottom of the cup so went back to see if the barista could give it a stir for me. The barista and the manager were very sweet, offered to stir it and add more rose syrup.
Unfortunately, despite their best effort, I still had a hard time tasting rose, (there were some floral notes, but really subtle, and not like rose). Not sure if it’s just the syrup that very light, or if the syrup pump on bottle was faulty, but latte flavor was not very rosey. Still, the latte was served hot and wasn’t too sweet, felt pretty balanced so it was still decent. Will give another syrup a try next time.
Can get loud so bring headphones if trying to get work done. They also have music playing in the background, volume is average to semi loud depending on sensitivity. Kinda chilly indoors so if you get cold easily, bring a jacket.
Wide variety of seating options - ranging from some couches, group tables, as well as outdoor seating. I like the upgraded outdoors seating. They use to have picnics tables last time I came, but with renovations it looks more of an elegant booth style seating. Helps make it look and feel more spacious outdoors.
Their staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Great customer service and they were very friendly.
Overall highly recommended this place, check them out for next wfh / study day! ☕️📚

I happened to come across Siphon Coffee while driving and decided to stop in — and I’m really glad I did. I ordered a hot coffee and let the barista choose for me, which turned out to be a great decision. The coffee was smooth, well-balanced, and genuinely enjoyable from the first sip to the last.
The atmosphere stood out just as much as the drink. The vibe inside is calm and welcoming, with soft piano music playing in the background that makes you feel completely at ease. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, think, or just enjoy the moment.
Hosea at the front was especially friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great service, great coffee, and an overall peaceful environment. I’ll definitely be back.

A lovely place to spend an afternoon working. My chai latte was delicious, the music was varied, peppy yet chill, and not too loud. The barista who made my drink called it a chia pet, which was so delightful. Glad I chose to spend my Saturday here! I'll be back.

Really cool vibes with amazing furniture and a great overall atmosphere. It’s a busy spot, which makes sense because it’s super convenient for studying or socializing. The sandwich was really good, and the coffee is artisan-level quality. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Siphon is my go-to study and breakfast spot in Houston. Not only is all the staff incredibly friendly, but everything on their menu (both drinks and food) is always delicious. And when it’s warm out, there’s nowhere nicer to be than their tree covered outside seating to the side of the coffee shop!

I often feel like I’m burdening the baristas by ordering. I struggle to hear my name be called when my drink is ready. I understand being a barista is more difficult than some people imagine, but this place just does not have a welcoming vibe-to me at least. If you are socially anxious, maybe don't come here. It is a very popular spot that is quite busy throughout the day, and it’s difficult to find seating. Also, this place is overhyped by yuppies.

I have literally never encountered people who were so uninterested in life and their jobs. The men just stand there and talk to each other and don’t turn around when customers enter. They just keep talking to each other. They often forget food orders so it’s a waste of time and money to try and get the items you already paid for. Don’t get me started on if they give your drink to the wrong person. I’m so over siphon coffee and will not be returning. The pumpkin bread is great but not worth dealing with people who will watch you stand at the bar waiting for your order for 10 minutes and never ask what your order was. Why would I stand at the bar watching these boys make drinks for no reason? Ask my name! My order! Something! And you can’t just get their attention because they’re always just spaced out or talking to each other or talking about shoes(???)

I ordered cortado double shot. It was terribly made and the coffee sucks. Most utensils in the back are dirty and there is a loud music that you can’t even talk or do some work. If you are looking to do some work and care about the quality of your coffee, go somewhere else. This place is insanely high priced.
