Slowpokes Café was sooo good! We ordered a Slowpoke specialty latte (one iced and one hot) and both were amazing. The Cali sandwich with a side salad and the breakfast bagel were both delicious — everything tasted fresh and flavorful.
It’s such a great quiet spot to study or get work done. Super chill vibes and a really comfortable atmosphere. I also love that they have a window outside where you can order to-go if you don’t want to dine in — super convenient!

Purple Rain latte was okay. I know Ube has a very subtle flavor but I had to ask for an extra pump because it tasted like just a plain latte. The spicy jam for the breakfast biscuit was yummy though .

I wished I could give them a negative-10. I waited at the bar for service for 5 minutes and no body came to take my order. I walked out and no one said anything. The people in there are rude and unprofessional. Don't come here if you don't want to be ignored

We are visiting from LA and loved this location! Dom at the front took our order and helped us decide what we should get. He was patient and gave us great recommendations! The service was fantastic and he helped us when I wanted a small change to my order. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is in the area! My kids and I enjoyed the avocado toast and one of their flat breads. Slowpokes latte was also very good!

Got the Lazy Latte with oat milk and the avocado toast. The toast was delicious and a large serving. The latte was also delicious and sweetened very well. Only gonna knock it down for it being a bit pricey and the seating not being super comfortable. I also wish there was a little more light in there but I think they're going for a specific aesthetic which I'm not especially mad at. There's different locations around Houston so def a good option

Wifi signal is terrible and that’s that you have to purchase something in order to get 2 hours of wifi, that’s what I didn’t and the WIFI ended up not even working. Waste of time and money

Great location, and either my husband or I stop in almost weekly to pick up a new bag of beans so we can pull our own espresso at home. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks the service has been noticeably unwelcoming. There’s often no greeting when you walk in, and the baristas come across as having an attitude—particularly the gentleman with the nose ring.
I don’t believe this is anything personal, but the overall vibe feels uncomfortable, almost as if there may be a tense or hostile working environment. Whatever the cause, it makes the experience unpleasant. This is especially disappointing because there are so many other friendly, welcoming coffee shops in the area with great coffee, and even other Slowpokes locations provide much better service than this one.
I hope this location can improve, because the coffee and convenience are the reasons we’ve continued coming back.

Slowpokes has good food and coffee but unfortunately has some opportunity to improve in service. Their app ordering system is broke and has been for a long time making it impossible to order in advance. With young children we can always wait the 20+ minutes to get coffee and food. Sometimes they will take phone orders but will just as often turn down phone orders. Unfortunately this makes it so my family has to look elsewhere for breakfast

10/10 every time I come ,ube latte is perfectly made too where you can taste the espresso but still taste the richness of the ube.Empanadas were amazing also have tried the pretzel bun here last time and loved it
