I thought I had already reviewed you guys, but maybe I haven't yet. This is my go-to coffee spot no matter which location I am close to, although I live by River Oaks so I order from them regularly, especially through UberEats since I work from home. Their lattes are absolutely perfect every single time and they always make mine decaf as requested and it still tastes amazing! Their chicken salad is bar none some of the best in the whole city. And depending on the cook that day, the cilantro cream sauce is to die for. Sometimes I just get a latte and a half pint of the cream sauce to eat on my eggs I make at home throughout the week. Christian has taken care of an issue I had in the past and every single person that answers the phone is always very very nice to me, even if they don't necessarily know me by name. The only drawback if you drive there to pick something up is the parking - you're not really allowed to park in the spots up front unless you're going to Levy Park. I only go there for Slowpokes, so this can be inconvenient at times, as the parking attendant is always looking for someone who is not following the rules.
To whoever updates the UberEats app for Slowpokes: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add a "decaf" option on the modifiers for the latte. This will stop me from having to call every single time and request decaf. It's not anything Uber can do on their end, you have to do it on your end. Also, adding a spot for a note for other modifiers would be great.

Visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere was bustling with activity but there were still places to sit and have a cozy conversation. The decorations were adorable (they even had a plush Pikachu!). Coffee was great as well and the breakfast bagel was delicious.
My only gripe with the place was the service, because I was given a number to put on my table and I had assumed that meant my coffee would be brought to me since I had placed my order “for here.” However, after a few minutes my food arrived but my coffee hadn’t come, so I went to ask the barista if I was supposed to come get my coffee order at the counter. Rather than just saying “oh yes, we have your coffee order right here,” the barista told me that they’d been calling my name repeatedly for the last few minutes in a visibly irritated tone. I even tried apologizing for the misunderstanding, but they completely ignored me. This was honestly very off-putting for what was a genuine misunderstanding for a first time visitor and would be the only reason I’d be hesitant to return. If the owner is reading these, I’d suggest having the baristas notify customers who order both food and coffee when they are paying to pick up their drinks at the counter so that they can make sure to listen for their name.
Slowpokes really is a cute coffee shop and I love that it’s across the street from a nice park. I hope that my experience with their service was just an off day because I’d love to go back sometime in the future.

When I need a pick-me-up, Slowpokes Coffee is my go-to spot. One of the main reasons is Emi! My office is upstairs, and every time I walk into Slowpokes, I'm instantly uplifted by Emi's great energy and good vibes. He always makes my day better with a friendly smile and positive attitude. It’s rare to find someone who consistently brightens up your day, but Emi does just that--always.
Nothing worse than getting a coffee that is impossible to drink, because it’s too hot.

I ordered breakfast tacos and a latte for Togo and had my baby with me in a stroller. I dropped a baby toy on the ground while sitting and waiting for our food. The sweetest employee named Zaria ( sp) walked all the over to Levy Park to find us and return the toy. You just don’t get that kind of customer service anymore- totally above and beyond ?
By the way, the latte and tacos were 10/10. I loved the cilantro crema and pico de gallo that came with the tacos.

SOOOO CUTE. all the gluten free options were super convenient. Great coffee and just a great place to be next to the park.
I understand the name Slowpockes, but waiting 20 minutes for a Flat white to go - is too much. At the same time, you are not warned that it will be so long, and when you draw the attention of those who work there that it is too long - they simply shrug their shoulders and say something about the queue. But I saw that in front of me they gave orders to the people who came and made the order later.

This is the most comfortable coffee shop I have ever been to. The staff are so very nice and personable. The coffee drinks and refreshers have all been amazing. I have rated other shops very well, and they hold their ratings, but Slowpokes has earned the place as my new favorite.
