I’ve ordered from this Starbucks many times. I usually get a regular matcha latte, and while I keep coming back because it can taste really good, the consistency is hit or miss. There have been times when the drink came out way too bitter, and other times the matcha powder wasn’t blended well at all, you could still see it floating in the drink. Each time I brought it up, they remade it and it tasted much better, so I do appreciate that.

However, during my most recent visit, when I came to pick up my drinks and asked for a tray, the staff member I spoke to didn’t even look at me or acknowledge that I was asking. She was busy texting on her phone, and I ended up standing there waiting for her to finish before she handed me a tray. It felt unprofessional, especially during work hours.

Overall, I’ll probably keep ordering from this location, but I really hope the drink consistency and customer service improve.

Year after year, they deliver with speed, accuracy, and a smile—and this time was no exception. Special shoutout to Saji for going above and beyond to get us out the door by 6:04 AM (ahead of our 6:15 deadline!). Pro tip: skip the drive-thru, head inside, and don’t forget to show your appreciation with a tip to your barista!

From the moment I came in Saaji treated me so well, Like I was the most important person on the face of the earth. His enthusiasm, attitude and way of treating people is phenomenal.

I don't think I have ever seen any kind of service of that quality anywhere else before. You need to hire more people just like him.

The Thumbs Critic

👍 This Starbucks sits right between the Heights and the Washington Corridor, making it one of the most convenient stops before heading out of Houston on I-10. It's a great location if you need coffee before a road trip.

👍 There are plenty of tables, which are helpful if you need to catch up on a bit of work or meet a colleague for a quick chat.

👍 The music was at a comfortable level, not blasting like some other stores. It made the space more inviting to actually sit and without damaging the hearing of patrons.

👎 When I visited, several employees were standing idle while only one register was open. There was an indecisive customer taking forever to order, and the line grew longer before someone finally decided to open a second register.

👎 After all that waiting, I was told the drink I wanted was “out of season,” even though it was still shown on the menu. That was frustrating, and it could’ve been handled better.

👎 On another visit, I placed a mobile order and waited nearly 30 minutes while working on an article, glancing up between paragraphs to see if my drink was ready. It never appeared. When I finally asked, the barista pretended it had been sitting at the pickup area all along.

👎 To make matters worse, the drink didn’t taste right either.

This Starbucks doesn’t take large bills I guess because instead of saying you weren’t able to make change the other gentleman that wasn’t at the window came to tell me that he couldn’t take it

The legendary quality and service has returned to this Starbucks. We make a trip at least twice a week on the way to school and it’s very consistent and we are always greeted kindly..
