I stopped here to eat on my way to New Orleans and liked it so much that I stopped again on my way home! I'm sitting here now with my tummy grumbling and my mouth watering thinking about their steam vegetable dumplings. I also tried the slightly-sweet cheese puffs and a Thai tea with Boba, and all were delicious. I really like the atmosphere. I’ve dined in before, but normally get take out. It’s on the way home from work so I get to bypass the railroad tracks AND get some really delicious dinner. Service is quick and friendly.Hi Trendy Dumpling has my favorite mapo tofu in the loop!! I find that the sauce is much richer and has more mala than other Szechuan places around.. The pan fried dumplings were huge. The shumai were very delicious ?, so tender. The beef fried rice was perfect, I couldn't stop eating it. All portions were large, especially the beef noodle soup ?. All of the food was tasty and had good size portions meant for sharing.The service was prompt and good.
